thanks very much. i will write to him :) i really want him to know that how much he has changed my life. when i feel down, his skating cheer me up. now its time for us to cheer him :console:what happened today does not diminish what he has achieved. life is all about learning experience. i believe...he will get the gold back. yes, he will. time will tell :agree:

It's the same about me. Every life has ups and downs. Failure and success, joy and sorrow, light and shadow… Through charring up for him, we also learn something, we try to improve ourself. And I feel it’s miracle but not coincidence to know and support yuzu at some time in our life. Everything has its meanings.

I thought he cannnot mess up anymore. But he did:dumb:
Maybe people around him also trusted Yuzu too much and didn't interfere. Especially since Jave had injury to worry about and Brian had to attend to that.
People have certain tendency. Now Yuzu and his team once again realized he is human and only 21 years old, so someone has to keep eye on him and has to pull him back or try to convince him to come to senses.
He still has another year to overcome his weakness.

One whole day has passed by while I did nothing but being devastated and trying to recover:gaah:

Ok I need to say this...I get that we're sad and quite shocked but saying that his silver medal and performance are "embarrassing" is just wrong. I'm also sad but he can't win everything.....We need to send him good vibes and wish him luck for next season.

For me it is kind of embarrassing. He was praised so high all the time, called a "legend" and then THIS. He HAVE to show his best when it counts- worlds and olympics. That's all what matters. Casual viewers only know what someone did at the big competitions. And what do they see by Yuzuru? An olympic performace with falls, a world gold performance that is doubtful for some and two messy world performances after it. And who cares about the GPF? Yuzuru knows this, that's why he want to skate great performances.
He was in his best form this year, if he can't do it now, when then?
And now some ppl want to believe Fernandez is "best of all time" are you serious? How many clean performances did HE had in his career?
It's just not right:disapp::noshake:

Why? Why do you care what casual viewers think? It's not as if their opinion decides the truth.

As Yuzu's fan, I care about the competitions he participates in. I care about GPF. I care about his world records. I care about his performances. Most of all, I care about what he cares about - which is the only reason I'm sad that he didn't get the world title this year, because I know he is sad.

To me, Yuzu and only Yuzu is what's important.

Mostly result based report, but the last simple word from Yuzu made me cry a bit. "I haven't let my regret(frustration toward myself" )out yet. Because If I do, I cannot controll myself(overflowing emotions). I will do better next year." He is holding back his tears, that is so much different from last year. Matured maybe, but somehow makes me even more sad.:sad4: Because his pain seems deeper.

Just find great new programs to cheer up!

Tbh I don't care what "casual viewers" think. I'm Yuzu's fan since 2011 and I support him no matter what. I was devastated many times after his performances but also super excited and proud many more times. I love that he's able to bring so many emotions to his skating. Somewhere inside me I have a feeling that maybe all these disappointments (not winning Worlds multiple times, some messy performances) will lead to his competitive career beyond 2018...and that would be great (at least for me)!

I will probably die if he decide to go to 2022. My heart... :drama:

Oh, that was rough:cry: He must be devastated, but in figure skating, the mind plays an important role, and I think with these kind of experiencies he can learn a a lot . We've seen him doing espectacular programs under pressure,it's that today wasn't the day.He is the most talented skater I've seen, and I will be supporting him no matter what.
Thank you for everything that you gave me Yuzuru:thank:

I understand what you mean. ( I tried to quote Lillian's previous comment)
But, Yuzuru's WR is to stay until Yuzu himself will beat it.
Yuzu is legend for that and everyone knows it. Even in Japan beer drinking baseball lovers used to call him "too feminine, narcist" and so on, but after setting those records they have great respect for him. Worlds is not so big deal like Olympic for non skating fans.

Yuzuru's interview with TV4 Sport. He seems more positive in this one and his English is good too! I'm glad he realizes this FP was a mental error and it already sounds like he wants to work on it!

Everything about him is so positive. He's an adorable person who deserves the best.

I loved to see Yuzu with Brian and Javi in leaders' room. And Pooh of course. As I said in another thread...a beautiful familiy photo. Yuzu seems happy with them and I can't believe anyone can blame Brian. I feel great to know that he has people like these near him.

I'm actually angry he let himself beat by Fernandez. It just can't be. I were ok with everyone else with better skating quality, but this is a joke.
Hi, Lillian! Your English is fine, don't worry.
I want to adress the quoted words. Javi is his friend. They train together. They support each other. They learn from each other. Javi is not as gifted as Yuzuru, everything Javi won so far was a result of him learning to work hard watching Yuzuru, never give up, overcome pain and dispair (learning that from Yuzuru too). And the fact that Yuzu prayed for Javi before LP says a lot to me. He wanted to win himself. But perhaps he also felt that he could have a performance that would not be up to his own standart (athletes usually feel that deep inside of their mind) and if there was any other person he would have to let have that gold was perhaps only Javi. Javi has great programs this season, he has grown so much in artistry and he has had a clean performance in LP that I've been waiting for the entire season. He was great. He was the real champion last night (5am for me). I absolutely admire the fact that given his pain and injury he could put himself together and deliver that beautiful skate. Especially after the painful skate from his friend whom he admires a lot. Was there any other skater with same quality who could beat Yuzu? I think Patrick could have but he did not deliver the skate of his life again as it was in FCC. And I'm sure Javi will find the words to comfort Yuzu because this is how their friendship works.

Yu're right in some points- the thing is: imagine the world in 10 or 20 years. How will people remember him? As the second Sasha Cohen? Could be great and did good in the SP but always screwed up when it counts. Or as the "overscored/overrated" Japanese that got more than he "deserved"? Or as a "tragic" figure, that never was able to reach his potentials? As someone who was "mentally weak"?
He is so much more, but i'm sure people in the Boston arena were disappointed and some probably think "nah, he is not that great as everyone says".

There was this confession in the "figure skating confessions" that made me angry. Someone wrote that Yuzuru will "shoot himself in the head" if Fernandez wins his second title in the row- what Yuzuru was not able to do. At that time i thought "this won't happen anyway".
Well, congrats to the haters, they won.

I don't care how other people remember him. People who don't care to know the truth don't deserve to know the truth, and they certainly don't deserve to bear witness to Yuzu's greatness.

Poor Yuzu. Crying helps to release some stress when being alone in the room. There is some time before exhibitions, he needs to let go.

Hi dear fellow Yuzu fans:ghug:I haven't been posting here for months, but I didn't stop supporting Yuzu. My father watched the competition with me. He knew that Yuzu is the best skater in the world, but he hadn't watched any of his performances until today. Well, Yuzu bombed badly:palmf:but my father still said he was as beautiful as sakura. He said the others don't have the same charm as he does. I think this may be the only good thing that happened to me today:palmf:
I thought about the possibility of him bombing the free skate, so I am not too disappointed. I don't feel embarrassed either. Why should any spectators/fans/casual viewers feel embarrassed:scratch2:don't understand this psychology:scratch2:

I usually mostly read this topic and haven't time to read anything since SP but I now just wanted to give Yuzu supportive vibes. Even if I'm very sad I know that he's very sad too and blames only himself. I hope that his family will find the right words to say to him, so he'll overcome this moment in his career, I also hope that he'll find mental strength to overcome his own demons (maybe for him it's tougher than learning 4Lo) and will be able to fight back next year. I'll always love his skating.

p.s. Maybe he just needs to go to 4CC cuz he loses that competitive set of mind since GPF (but it's just a suggestion from other side of TV)

Oh I used past tense:palmf:....I mean, I didn't stop, don't stop, and will never stop supporting Yuzu.:ghug:Sorry for my poor English

I undestand your disappointment but your messages have so much negativity in them- why are you personally so frustrated? Because he did not deliver up to your expectations? Did he have to? I mean- it is so selfish to be mad at someone who you like and who doesn't happen to be or act the way you imagine them to. He is a human, he can have failures too. I don't care about haters, come on. I don't care what they say- his WR stands still. That's the fact. And as long as he challenges himself and grows technically, artistically, personally- I'm gonna stick by him. I am much older and he is such an inspiration to me.
