Anyway, speaking of Japanese skating vocabularies, I only found out that Japanese called popped jumps, punk? Is this true? Where have I been all my life :slink:

If Yuzuru was more proficient in English I bet he will be very very talkative in every press conference :biggrin:

Maybe Japanese posters should teach us non speakers a new simple, related word every day. Just by watching youtube videos I did pick up the word for quad in japanese... very proud of myself, lol.
 
quick Japanese question. what "khai thai" means? I thought "khai thai desu" means "buy", but I don't think is correct?

I'm late (and I haven't checked if it has already been said), but just a little note: it was Angelo and a new commentator. Due to other commitments, Max couldn't work on figure skating this weekend (he should be back for Esp Highlights on Monday :) )
 
Sport heros program. Daisuke Takahashi commenting on Yuzuru's FS here. It is quite long, the first 7 mins they talk about Yuzuru only and there are snippets of his press con after the win too

Sorry for the mistakes and thanks for the correction. It was so late and I was so tired that I didn't even notice...but now I understand why one of them seemed strangely restrained in his enthusiasm!
 
Just had to post that after a rough couple of weeks IRL, yuzu @ NHK was everything :) It was so good to see him that happy after so long. His happiness is always so bright and infectious.
Love everything about the LP, they've reworked it to be better - better flow more little touches etc. (that shoulder roll was so much sharper) - and yet there's still so much potential left! Also that costume is just the perfect thing to fit the program and theme. I can't say much about the purple (costume) abomination except that if it's what gives power to the SP :shrug: (pleeeease make the pants darker :bang:)

No problem! The new one is new on figure skating scene and he doesn't have Max knowledge of the sport so he kept quiet and just gave little infos ;)
Angelo was his usual self tho (good on him to remark once again how no-one else can combine everything like Yuzu does at the moment :) )

Thanks! Commentator Daisuke is so nice. His comments are interesting and to the point. Now I don't have PC with me, but later I will post summary.
