I am kind of predicting he won't do 4CC; I know many think he might want to do one competition before the Worlds just to hash things out, but since he did magically came back into top form for the Olympics, I think he might be pretty sure that if he sticks to his practice routine he won't need that?

I think we just have to trust him and Brian to make a decision that they think is best.... and support him all the way. I am just hoping and praying for a as-perfect-as-possible Origin to go with the glorious Otonal we already have...

{okay yes, I also want him to win whichever he goes in for }

I wonder if he'll reuse Origin and Otonal next season depending on how many more competitions he can do this time.

I've been watching some of his old programs, and the smoothness of his skating never ceases to amaze me. Has anyone ever made sure that he doesn't have superconducting blades? Like, are we sure they're really touching the ice and not levitating slightly above it?

https://twitter.com/JohnWilsonBlade/status/1076100097526714368 Wilson Blades interview with Brian Orser. --Includes interesting portions about coaching Yuzu, what Brian REALLY thinks of pooh bear, etc. This was recorded around the GPF.
No shocking new news, but a good interview.

So not only yuzu's mom, but also his sister, help to sort through all the gifts and keep the letters from fans. Maybe yuzu's sister travels to see his performance occasionally? Or she mainly only go to the competitions in Japan? Yuzu's family really kept a low profile through the years.

Also it was kinda funny when Brian said 'the Yuzu camp, they're, and I'm part of it too, I hope (rolled eyes and shrugged shoulder), are very private.'

And although there's no news about yuzu's injury, I still feel so sad when Brian mentioned all the ligaments in yuzu's ankle are messed up, and it's such a shame because he skated better than ever this season, with new freedom.

I was thinking the same - particularly Origin if he doesn’t get to do the biellmann this season.
I don't think that Yuzu would reuse one of the tributes without the other. These two programs belong together like ice and water :console:

Plus: I fear that some people would scream again and call it disrespectful towards Johnny, if Yuzu dropped Otonal but kept Origin after this season...
What do you think?

Sure, people might do that, but I honestly don't see how a reasonable person could interpret it as disrespectful. Yuzu's skated Otonal well but he has yet to do a good Origin, so it makes sense to keep Origin but change Otonal if his goal is to get a good performance of each program. It was already a sign of high respect for Johnny to do a tribute program--anyone who would interpret changing the SP only next season as a slight is seeing stuff that isn't there and just trying to find things to criticize.

Yeah, that’s true, I also doubt it. How amazing would it be if he’s able to perform both programs to the level that he is satisfied with in one competition.

If we get a level Yuzuru is satisfied with.... the rest of the skating world will be absolutely floored by it.

Baby Yuzu skating with fellow Tohouku skater Suzuki doing side by side beilmans in a out-door rink.

Thanks for posting this. So I went to his/her youtube channel and found the whole footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEZOQijy1lc

Brian Oser interview after COR
some quote
ON YUZURU: “HE’S NOT READY TO JUST RIDE THE WAVE. HE’S TRYING TO CREATE WAVE”

So how does Yuzuru feel after finally winning two Grand Prix?

I haven’t talked to him yet. [the interview took place right after men’s free skate in Moscow, during the medalists’ press conference – Ed.]

He was just so relieved to get through this, because he hurt his ankle this morning on practice. And it was pretty bad. And there were treatments, discussions, change in the order of elements, figuring out how are we gonna get through this. And he didn’t know how he was gonna feel until he got back on the ice for the 6-minute warm up. I was really proud of him. So I think he’s probably happy that finally he’s won two Grand Prix in one season, but, you know, season’s not over.

In summer I understand the decision about his future wasn’t that clear, whether he’s going to continue competing. Now we see that he decided to go on, and looks so fresh and motivated. How does he manage to find his motivation now, after he’s got it all, won it all?

It’s amazing for me, I don’t know. He came back, and he was like a new person. I don’t know what it was. We had our meeting, and he said he wanted to skate for another year. He just said: “I just don’t feel like I’m finished”. He loves to skate, he loves to compete. He’s driven, every day. It’s kind of his life, he loves it.

But this season was different than any other season – something opened up in him. Some freshness. He got a second wind. But it was not only about doing the work, it was about, I don’t know, his outlook on everything. Being around him was… Something lit. Maybe that was two gold medals lit in him, I don’t know! [laughing]. That would maybe do the trick, I guess.

But it was just a real pleasure for everybody, me especially.

The process so far has been really enjoyable – because he’s enjoying it. And he’s not so manic. ’Cause he’s been manic in the past, ’cause he’s so driven. And almost to a fault. And now he’s kinda taking the time to smell the roses, and to look around and work, and train, and enjoy his gift – and he has a gift.

And it’s so good for figure skating

He also talked about yuzu's new programs this season and other things. Full interview:

Me too...
So I started to watch all the newly uploaded old footage of yuzu on youtube.

I've been downloading even more than I already had (my little program has a handy bulk-playlist download function) but even though we know how popular and loved and celebrated he is, it's still rather mind-boggling how many there are even without the deleted ones (someone, I doubt we would get much sympathy wailing "but we have so many Yuzu vids we need to store now!!!")

nice to hear that yuzu is more relaxed now.
I hope he is going to have a great time these holidays
