Yuzu's transitions had to be pretty poor, if Nathan managed to receive the same score of 8.75 with 3 fatal errors and finishing 17th... according to J7.

3× 9.75
4× 9.50
1× 9.25
1× 9.00
1× 8.75
J7 gave Yuzu 9+ for everything else except transitions..... were they blinded by Yuzu skating that they accidentally press 8 instead of 9?? That’s the only reason I can think of. 😂

In Barcelona 2015 Yuzu had his scoring peak with nearly perfect GOE and PCS everywhere. From then on the judges were holding back for some reason (except ACI SP and some LGC GOE).
In my opinion his skating skills and transitions have improved a lot since 2015 :hap10: (and his jumps aren't worse either)

I'd usually think this is possible except look at those TR scores as a whole. She gave Javier a 9.00 yet at the same time Nathan a 8.75. Unfortunately I'd say she has no idea what a transition is hence the score for Yuzuru, etc. And it's kind of funny how high Chiddy's score is when Yuzuru's program is above his in transitions. Ah well.

We can’t complain too much or other skater fans will start the “why do Hanyu fans complain about points when he already won OGM” discourse again. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Maybe because Yuzuru was first in the group, they have to low balling him somewhere in case one of the other skater really achieve something extraordinary.

That's technically not how it should work though.

I think all 6 of the men mentioned were highly overscored on PCS, BTW. But the judges using the scores as 6.0 is bogus. Utter nonsense. They do it, but they shouldn't at all.

Yes, I know is not fair, but by this point we all know the earlier you skate the most likely for you get underscored :slink:

That's why I really hold back with scoring complaints in general, but this J7... sorry I just couldn't withstand

Really? I thought he/she was Canadian looking at Patrick's score

It might be personal preference, which is totally not professional but it exists. Yuzu even mentioned briefly in an interview that he was like' ahhh this judge again' when he saw certain judge in the panel.

Oh I understand. Sometime the scoring is so ridiculous that you can’t help but bring it up and laugh about it. Lol

It seems Nanami Abe choreographed the kids and Disney friends, and Yuzuru was doing something with her.

So happy we manage to catch a glimpse of that!!! I love the relationship between Nanami coach and Yuzuru. The fact that they mainly keep it out of the spotlight makes it so much more special. :)

Yuzuru visits (visited?) Naraha again and sees the people he met 3 years ago, the aunties doing sewing class. And people Yuzuru has met in these 7 years at effected areas are invited to the special ice show in Sendai. The kids skaters will also skate with Disney characters in Sendai, but if I am reading it right, they will not skate with Yuzuru since it says they have 2 special ice shows. We'll see :)

The theme of 24 hrs TV this year is "People (things) that changed my life", and Yuzuru answered "The rink in Sendai".

It's possible that the special ice show was filmed on 7/4. Sendai ice rink was closed to public on that day. Judging by the calendar, the rink usually only close during weekend.

Yuzu attended the award ceremony, went to the school in fukushima, then filmed for 24 hour TV before heading back to Canada. :coffee:

Anyone think Yuzu will ever dedicate a program to universal, humanitarian issues like the way Yulia L. skated to Schindler's List OST even though she wasn't Jewish? Like I would love it if Yuzu dedicated a sad, meaningful program to films like "The Pianist" or other war or humanitarian films. I really want to see Yuzu skate to a sad piece, because Yuzu brings out emotions so well.

Something from Gorecki's Symphony of Sorrowful Songs would do it for me, I'd be sobbing into my cushion long before it finished.

I can't think up an example right now but I'd love to see it :)

Is this capsule for better sleep and healing? Yuzu signed on it so maybe he tried it before?

The poster is a man and he says he respects Yuzuru who keeps making effort and chasing for the dream. The capsules are titanium bath capsule and oxygen capsule, and it doesn't say Yuzuru tried them or not (but maybe he did?)

I think a couple of his exhibitions cover that.
