Hanyu fans hunt down these pics so quickly. They seem to immediately zero in on any Yuzu pic with some random person on the internet.

I was pleasantly shocked by this week’s TSL. It’s my own fault since I know going in that I’m going to be disappointed but I can’t resist clicking when I see a Hanyu picture so I’d always watch hoping to hear a discussion about him but get annoyed because all I’d ever hear is 1 or 2 lines of low key shade. It always seemed like they didn’t like his skating and were just afraid of the Hanyu fan hate. I’d rather hear a straightforward opinion even if it’s negative than have them use him as clickbait but then not really say anything at all.

But Dave was completely positive about his skating. I wonder if Yuzu’s Haru Yo Koi and Olympic performance have impressed him enough to turn him around - those were the only times that I’ve heard him say anything good about Hanyu’s skating and this week, he was almost gushing. He even defended Yuzu when Jonathon said something critical. They always seemed like Nathan fans but they talked about how superior Yuzu was to Nathan.

Oh man, I'm sure the level of his arrogance would not let him see the light :disapp: Even if he talks positively about Yuzu here which is :shocked: but the amount of disrespect to other skaters and choreographers in this video is just unbelievable especially about Mai and Kaori.

Unfortunately I didn't miss it :palmf: The thing about Mai is that he was just repeating and repeating, like he needed to prove that Mai is a plain, forgettable skater :disapp: I mean, you'd like to ask these guys which one of their Olympics or Worlds achievements give them the courage to judge other skaters like that? Petit, simply petit.
 
Ignore TSL? They don't state their opinions respectfully, nor do they give any reasoning beyond what their biases are. It's not bad to expand your worldview by seeking different opinions, but seek people who actually can state them respectfully and can justify them. I don't listen to Milo Yiannopolous, either, for instance. Maybe they'll lose attention once more people realize this...

What did Dave tweet about the Olympics? When they did the recap all he talked about was how great his jumps were and he showed a lot of mental toughness - a couple no brainer compliments but it tops the previous best Hanyu comments which were basically that he skated well at 2017 worlds.

Dave must just love Haru Yo Koi then. He almost looked offended that Jonathan said that he'd criticize Hanyu for the same thing he's criticizing Nathan for. His eyes got wide and he pursed his lips. And when Dave started praising Hanyu Jonathan seemed to make a face.

I think we should drop the tsl talk, they thrive in people talking about their disrespectful opinions.

So tango and Jazz for Yuzuru this season? My heart say yes to this, but he does love his lyrical programs.

It looks to me like he let Jeffrey suggested the SP and normally the fp is something more related to a subject he wants to touch... thoughts?

Yeah I think he typically lets Jeff suggest/pick his SP music and so far he’s chosen his free program music with Shae. I was re-listening to PJ Kwong’s podcast with Shae the other night and she mentioned that she had given Yuzu a playlist of music suggestions but then he had brought up Seimei. I’ve always wondered what was on that list she gave him!

I’d love to see jazz for the SP but something dramatic for the free would be my wish. I’m thinking another soundtrack piece.

Sorry, how did we find out the his new music would be tango and jazz- are those confirmed or just plain rumor from... who? I must have missed this.
As per tango... umm... I've always wanted him to do tango/ flamenco with Antonio Najarro. I guess that's not on the plate. And I really don't like the non-tango tango programs that don't respect the original dance moves and aesthetics... I am generally not into the generic choreo... :(

Dave only praises Hanyu because he knows that will help him get more views. Dave dislikes Hanyu frankly. He has pulled of this trick many times. He talks negatively about Hanyu but then use Hanyu image and tag Hanyu name in his podcast to attract views from Hanyu fans. Since 2014 he has been doing that from time to time. Better to know his trick by now.

We will be busily speculating and guessing and wishfully thinking from now until media day (I have a little list of my own I want him to choose, most of which he has probably never heard of) at which case he will probably announce something that absolutely no one thought of.
