We will be busily speculating and guessing and wishfully thinking from now until media day (I have a little list of my own I want him to choose, most of which he has probably never heard of) at which case he will probably announce something that absolutely no one thought of.

Yes what you said is accurate. I think Jonathan said that Nathan is amazing, but when he has shown Nathan’s 6-quad program to non-skating friends...it’s a great achievement but.... He kind of stopped and started talking, so he didn’t express his thoughts fully, but the idea seemed to be that when his friends watched the video of Nathan, they were impressed but they were much more impressed with GPF SEMEI. Since Jonathan is a singer and his friends are probably also musicians, it makes sense.

I have to say the GPF 2015 Semei is totally amazing and still my favorite, too.

Yeah I think he typically lets Jeff suggest/pick his SP music and so far he’s chosen his free program music with Shae. I was re-listening to PJ Kwong’s podcast with Shae the other night and she mentioned that she had given Yuzu a playlist of music suggestions but then he had brought up Seimei. I’ve always wondered what was on that list she gave him!

I’d love to see jazz for the SP but something dramatic for the free would be my wish. I’m thinking another soundtrack piece.

I'm also curious what her selections were like (and I'm hoping for dramatic program from him, too!)

Btw! Didn't he mention something like: 'From now on I want to chose music that I like'? (The wording might be inaccurate, it's too long ago and I can't find the exact source anymore...)

Well, 50/50, SEIMEI was a fabulous choice, which no one expected back in that time.
Usually if he pick the music himself, he love something comes with a story, R&J, POTO, SEIMEI,... I wouldn’t be surprise if the free is another soundtrack of movie.

I don’t know how they met, but he apparently did skate at one time. He briefly mentions it in this interview:

I'm not sure about H&L, but I think Prince was.

I remember how frustrated and dejected he was after that messy SP at WTT. It should've been a tribute to the first anniversary of Prince's death the next day...
After the final pose Yuzu looked up and said "gomenasai" or something like that. It was just heartbreaking to watch... So nice, how Tracy tried to comfort him... one of few K&C moments with these two :sad4:


I have to admit, I like Yuzu's music choices in general, especially over the last 3-4 years (EX included).
