--I see lots of requests for a jazz program...and I really hate that genre. But if Yuzu does it I'll have to learn to love it.

Does anyone has a suggestion on jazz piece?
Hopefully all these things make Yuzu's guilty feeling of leaving Sendai all better.
He might not have by physical labor assisted the rehabilitation.
But his exsistence as a native there and being the honorable person he worked to become bought in a lot of things.
He is a dream come true. The type that happens only in a millenium.

I hate musicals. I love Yuzuru's "Phantom of the opera". I actually don't care what genre he chooses, I guess people talk about genres he didn't skate to for quite a while or never did and want to see him adding some variety to his spectrum. From my own experience even if I'm not into the music I still find the way to enjoy his skating because of the various aspects I like about him. I started to watch his past competitions performances more this summer and I suddenly realized how demanding his Hope and Legacy was. I think out of all his LP this one is truly a milestone in building his stamina. He doesn't finish it with the step sequence and the spin. He does his most favorite 3Lz and a spin at the end after the step sequence. Almost last 30 sec of a program is a jump and a spin. That is amazing. I wonder how he may build his new LP on the new rules. And will he keep any of no 1.1 reward jumps in the second part of the program, both in SP and LP. I think somebody should do that.

Rondo Capriccioso is my favorite warhorse and I have been thinking Yuzuru will do justice to it

No offense to all the jazz fans out there, but I hope Yuzu will not do jazz for the very selfish reason that I can't stand it
It depends on the jazz piece, to be honest. I actually quite like Sing Sing Sing, though I guess it's because it is more Swing.

I grew up around a good amount of Jazz influence and it was a huge part of my musical training so I never stood a chance. I guess I was very spoiled last season when one of my favorite skaters chose Summertime (Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald ) as a SP. I mean one of my favorite skaters and two of my favorite artists of all time mixed into one performance so truth be told I really don’t need Yuzu to choose a jazz piece or anything. I’ve already been spoiled enough. Whatever he chooses will make me happy I think. He just has that charisma where the music is a bit an afterthought.........
......unless he chooses Rondo Capriccioso :ddevil:

I love Swing, Big band Jazz that kind of music, we have 2 weeks of international Jazz festival in town every year, always really look forward to it.
But I totally understand its personal preference, I could never do bules or disco

I naturally hate overused jazz pieces in figure skating. No Summertime for me please. And no Buble, please for Christ sake no Buble, no Feeling good, no whatever over the rainbow I've heard one million times before.:furious:
What about folk dance, eh? Can anyone come with a brilliant folk dance suggestion just for fun.
Umm... What about Bohemian Rhapsody? It has perfect Hanyu is a rock star vibes. God, I miss his Prince energy.

I LOVE Queen, don't get me wrong, but BR is a bit on the existential side for me to visualize it as a program. Just imagining some pretty cringey choreography to try to match the lyrics. Maybe Don't Stop Me Now would be okay and the lyrics actually fit him pretty well, but it's still hard to envision as a program.

If he wants to skate to Queen he can use 'We are the Champion'.
This is World Cup year and he is the champion. Perfect song for Trollzu. :rofl2:
On a more serious note, I think 'Somebody to Love' is quite nice too.
But it'd need to be "*I* am the Champion" rofl. Even still those programs rarely go over well (see Mirai's Winner Takes it All). Even Michelle's Fields of Gold in a Gold dress got some flack in 2002 Olympics...especially since she didn't win it despite that not being what the exhibition was about.

Sure, Yuzuru must be familiar with this...(we often do this in the sports festival in school), but I don't see any glimpse of figure skating, other piece would be better
