I’m really nervous on what he is going to bring out this season. Is everyone a fan of LGC?

I am a fan because he is so full of energy and playful there. And because I really love that Triple Axel + high kick + lunge + spin. #swoon

I really really love that program, especially the jumps, the spins, the step sequence (the whole choreo actually), the speed, dynamics and interaction with the crowd, so yeah let's say everything except the costume maybe

Mentioned it many times: if Yuzu had skated clean once, it could have had the potential for a (nearly) perfect score. The judges loved that program, too ;)

I've found a run-through in Helsinki (3 days before men's SP):

If you ask me, this program works so well with his black clothes

I’m not really a fan because I don’t like the song but I do like the choreo. I like the white costume better even though we can’t really see him on the ice.

That picture, the sheer crush - it's a good thing Yuzu is used to the attention, I'd be freaking out and looking for somewhere to hide!

I'm in awe of anyone who went through the journey's fraught times - Boston 2016 and the whole injury leading up to the Olympics 2018 - with him, how did your nerves stand it???

Honestly, the only time I watched him live in SC 2015 I came to this forum and solemnly vowed to not do it again :laugh2: That's how nerve-wracking was watching him at those times with all his dreams and goals on stake.

But, now that every one of his dreams have been realized I wish to see him live one more time before his r***. There is no stress anymore, I don't expect him to win anything, actually I think it's a privilege for any competition to have him, he is going to skate the way he wants. I saw his triple axel in front of me, with that white/blue costume of Chopin he was like an angel descending, I want to witness that scene one more time. So, please come to US for 4CC Yuzu, pretty please

For newer fans who may not have seen these yet, here's a Youtube channel I found with some older videos and interviews of Yuzu sorted by year.
https://www.youtube.com/user/kobe770120/playlists :)

And this website has archived fan-translated videos with English Subtitles, also sorted by year.

Thank you! I have a lot of videos downloaded, but some of these are new to me:luv17:

I agree Cup of China 15 is incredibly hard to watch (though the video with the British uncles fussing and fretting over him right the way through does have a sweetness to it) and I've yet to brave Boston 16, I've heard too many stories....

I am a fan of LGC :hap10:

About the incident of CoC 2014, he talked a little about it later in the press con at another competition. I don't remember which one and what exactly he said (sorry for being lazy not to go find it), he implied that he knew he had been criticized for competing in CoC, which made me sad. But at the same time, he also implied he did not like his coach and team were criticized for what he did, and I thought that showed what kind of person Yuzuru was.

I think now would be the time to make my great confession that all the times I've seen him skate in person, in competition, the end result has been heartbreaking. All. Of. Them. Which of course means like any reasonable person I started thinking I am the jinx and that as long as I am far and away from the rink, he will be fine. So I was confident he will win OG 2018 since I am half a world away. :laugh2:

Please realize I am half joking half not, if you are reading this and thinking I must be crazy to think I am that powerful. But I guess it's natural to be superstitious, for athletes or fans.

I do plan on going to see him live again, just to prove my theory wrong. I will however refrain from revealing what competition I'll be going in case I stink up his performance again and gets banned from attending. ( Joking!)

Being incurably shallow, I became a fan the first time I saw those purple pants (I love the while costume just as much now)

Poor you! I admit, even though my rational side said 'coincidence' I'd have started wondering too...

:console: I was lucky...both times I went to see Yuzu live, he won.
But since I watched all his recent competitions live on TV the experience has been mixed.

I adored LGC when I first saw him skate the early TCC run-though >in blacks<. I nearly died when he came out in a weskit--a weskit!--at the AC, & with his hair slicked back he looked to me like a waiter in a 1950's musical, I'm sorry! Ah...um... *cough* it didn't work for me. But, but, it was Yuzu! So I struggled, and the purple pants were better, and his own terrific moxie overcame it all. Finally. But if you're going straight sexy instead of cosmic-sexy, give me "Hello, I Love You" every time. I mean, Yuzu is cosmic all the time. Bottom line? Where Yuzu goes with a performance, that is where I will go also. It just might take me a minute longer.

He goes well with cold tone colors because he has cool feature tone , if my sentence makes sense.
Although he looked remarkably in sparkles and chiffons but if I may- being little selfish, I wish to see him in more simple and more masculine defined costumes in the coming season.
So beautiful - there is a reason why so many of us keep wishing for a black costume (okay with sparkles because it's Yuzu and he must be allowed his sparkles) and I wish it every time I see him practicing in underarmour, like dark flowing water, or pure lightning wrapped in black silk....

(yes, I'm feeling all overpoetic this morning )

I am under the camp of those who love LGC.
I like the program and as he said in small medal ceremony in Finland 2017, he is yet to skate it clean.
I would love to see that day come.
The costume was also a big wow for me, he looked so good in it as far as my preference is concerned.

First time I saw "Hello I love you" I nearly had a heart attack :o: I'm still all red-faced every time I watch it...

Same here! I have seen him live twice and he got silver for both competitions.
Gonna test it again this season. Hope I am not the one who curse him.

Is everyone a fan of LGC?

I am a great fan of LGC - actually, I like this SP the best, not only as Yuzu's one, but overall. Maybe because I'm a great fan of Prince as well, knowing his videos by heart. Every time I watch Yuzu performing LGC I'm impressed how good he is in translating typical Prince's moves and gestures into figure skating (not to mention his sassy&sexy gaze ;)). It's an outstanding program, so energetic and powerful. Strongly hope to see it again, even as EX.

[Talking about Yuzu's fans who read this thread but very rarely write anything - I'm one of them. Feeling not competent to take part in majority of discussions and not wanting to just repeat constantly how amazing is Yuzuru I just enjoy myself reading posts. I'm very grateful to everyone who let me keeping up to date with the news on Yuzu :thank:]
