You're welcome!

 :luv17: :o:
What was the whole story with this? Is there a longer video? Is he really angry or just pretending?

This is the (in)famous dance battle when Yuzu was on the cast of The ICE. The show hosts dance and jump battles between skaters. Yuzu and Meryl had a dance off and Meryl won (of course!) Yuzu (who had come out as his female persona Yuzuki) then pretended to be very angry about it.

Female persona Yuzuki? えええええ!? I must investigate further.

As someone who overheats like crazy when skating, I fully support him skating shirtless more often. For comfort, of course! :agree:

Yuzuki appeared only once and has never been seen again.

My boss is in Sendai now and he just sent me a photo he took from a cardboard caricature of Yuzu and his OGM that I guess they put in the venue of ICCC 2018. I don't know how to upload it so you guys can see, though I don't like that it's a caricature.

I underestimated the madness... Stood up at 6:15 am to prepare, but my internet was too slow and I couldn't complete the payment process in time :sad4: I'm relieved that I haven't booked any hotel or flight yet, though...

Hope, I can get another chance to watch Yuzu live

As other people mentioned, there are a lot of gold/silver tickets resold on twitter and Planet Hanyu.
Hope you can find a good seat as wanted. I do not recommend you to wait until the individual event ticket sale in October though. On the official event page, the organizer said that they will sell only what is left from all event ticket selling. Good luck to you and see you there in Helsinki!

This is an interesting article of how Yuzuru had gained stamina by food conditioning. It is long and has lots of technical terms, so I will just try summarizing some parts.

http://wedge.ismedia.jp/articles/-/13516

After Sochi Olympics, Yuzuru continued to do food conditioning and he gained more muscle, his buttocks became bigger and he felt tight in that part of the costumes. Before PC Olympics, he had light meal at night but sufficient meal in the morning and noon in his daily life in order to adjust to the time schedule of his skating order. He had early breakfast, and lunch at the timing of not getting hungry before the time of the competitions, calculating the calories and had jelly and so on because they didn't stay in the stomach. He spent some period of time to do this before the PC Olympics since his body had to remember its rhythm. He and the team (Ajinomoto)'s motto was "Lively muscle and get the gold with muscle glycogen", and basically he had well balanced three meals and took "Amino Vital" around the time of practice and competitions. When he got nervous just before the game, he couldn't eat well and have enough protein, but Amino Vital helped in giving him nutrition he needed (he also had small rice ball called "power ball", a ball was only 50g and was easy to take when he got tense before the game.) After being injured at NHK, he tried to have lots of protein, especially the type of BCAA (don't know what it is lol) while he was strengthening body core off the ice. Mr. Kurihara from Ajinomoto had kept in touch with him and gave him advise "To recover from injury, the important thing is to have much protein." His dietary habit had apparently been changed since Sochi Olympics, he came to eat sufficiently and clean up his plate mostly. He sometimes gained 3000 kcal to 3500 kcal a day which was far surpassed the calories a normal male took.

We can see the photos of the meal in page 3 and 4 :)

Thank you so much for translating this!

Sorry, it was written in the page 2 what BCAA means

Branched Chain Amino Acid=BCAA

It is related to muscle energy action. Among the 20 types of amino acids that make proteins, nine including BCAA are said to be "essential amino acids" which can only be ingested by meals. The reason why BCAA is important is that when muscle glycogen is exhausted, BCAA in muscle is used.

You mean he sometimes ate not "gained" 3000 ~ 3500 calories a day? Sorry but I don't understand that sentence. Please explain [emoji24][emoji24]

成人男子をはるかに上回る、1日3000キロカロリー以上、時には3500キロカロリーに達する日もあったという
This sentence, I think means that some days his (caloric intake) went above 3000 calories sometimes reaching 3500 calories on some days, that exceeds that of a mature man. But it isn't specifically said, but understood in the context. Is that right Yude?

Michael Phelps use to eat around 12000 calories diet.
