I guess now that you mention it, there is a big possibility that maybe Jeff and Shae-Lynn are not involved this season, if that's the new challenge Yuzuru himself has set out to do? He has the Olympic gold medals under his belt, so maybe it's time to try something different? I have no idea, but can't wait to find out! :yahoo: I wonder if a journalist is going to let it slip that s/he is going to Toronto in the coming week...I think that was how we found out a day early beforehand one year?

He been doing it for years and not seeing him do it this year would be disappointing.
24 hr TV is a charity program. It makes more sense that Yuzu does it than Alina because Yuzu is a national charity icon in Japan or somesorts now.

I actually want Yuzu to stay with Jeff and Shae lynn. He has great chemistry with both of them from the beginning. If he wants to try other choreographer, maybe it's less risky to start with an ex program. But at this point, I'm just glad that Yuzu'll continue completing. So whatever he does, I'm satisfied:laugh:.
Will he ever get a program from Lori:think:?

He has some sort of abnormal metabolism in his DNA I swear 😅

Actually, that might not be far from the truth!

I wonder if they've ever checked to see if that gene is common in figure skaters.

As for eating 3500 calories in one day, I'd really love to know the details of that. Maybe he works up an appetite skating or eats some kind of special calorie-dense food? I can't imagine someone of his build eating that much through quantity without getting a massive stomachache. The only thing I could think of is something unhealthy and outlandish like eating nothing but salo (smoked pork fat) for all three meals or something!

Or he chuggles down 3 L of Powerade whilst skating 😅

Hey, I quite like Alina but there's no doubt that would be... annoying.

Haha, I liker her, too, she is famous in Japan now (she contracted to Shiseido :)) and has appeared in some TV programs or morning shows after PC Olympics. But in the case of 24 hrs TV, I think Yuzuru will be in the program 99.9% taking into account its concept and histroy with Yuzuru.

This is an interesting article of how Yuzuru had gained stamina by food conditioning. It is long and has lots of technical terms, so I will just try summarizing some parts.

http://wedge.ismedia.jp/articles/-/13516

After Sochi Olympics, Yuzuru continued to do food conditioning and he gained more muscle, his buttocks became bigger and he felt tight in that part of the costumes. Before PC Olympics, he had light meal at night but sufficient meal in the morning and noon in his daily life in order to adjust to the time schedule of his skating order. He had early breakfast, and lunch at the timing of not getting hungry before the time of the competitions, calculating the calories and had jelly and so on because they didn't stay in the stomach. He spent some period of time to do this before the PC Olympics since his body had to remember its rhythm. He and the team (Ajinomoto)'s motto was "Lively muscle and get the gold with muscle glycogen", and basically he had well balanced three meals and took "Amino Vital" around the time of practice and competitions. When he got nervous just before the game, he couldn't eat well and have enough protein, but Amino Vital helped in giving him nutrition he needed (he also had small rice ball called "power ball", a ball was only 50g and was easy to take when he got tense before the game.) After being injured at NHK, he tried to have lots of protein, especially the type of BCAA (don't know what it is lol) while he was strengthening body core off the ice. Mr. Kurihara from Ajinomoto had kept in touch with him and gave him advise "To recover from injury, the important thing is to have much protein." His dietary habit had apparently been changed since Sochi Olympics, he came to eat sufficiently and clean up his plate mostly. He sometimes gained 3000 kcal to 3500 kcal a day which was far surpassed the calories a normal male took.

We can see the photos of the meal in page 3 and 4 :)
Blushed with the new imagine of his masculine figure in my mind though, I am more happy that he eat sufficient three meals to give enough power and supports for him.

How do you feel then about a wild idea that he may do his own choreography?

Let me be honest, I thought about that too :shock2:

But I'm thinking too much just because he said repeatedly "new" in his comments. Perhaps he is going to have programs by Jeff and Shae as previous years

Media please come soon.
Hopefully Yuzu will be on the 24hrs special, I just love how sweet he is there.

Yep. I had that idea, too. Not both programs but one of them maybe?

Other option (that might fit better the 'crazy predictions'-thread): Plushy has fanboyed during FaOI and created an super special choreo for him

From The Ice interview on TV, Kanako asked Shoma about Yuzu's presence to him.
"My number one motivation. If I were to be in that position... It's hard. I have no confidence that I can carry various things, but I respect them and I want to be able to win someday. " Translated by google

They have been competing each other since novice level.. I find it so amazing that they have a good relationship besides being national rivals ♥ and the fact they both appreciate each other.

Funny that after talking about it I don't find it a crazy prediction anymore. I seriously think he may do his own choreograph for the SP
