If anyone remember, Elizabeth Peyton is the artist whose painting of Yuzu sold for $475,000 earlier this year.

Peyton was fascinated, in particular, by Hanyu’s accounts of his rigorous training, involving hypnosis and the study of anatomy – processes akin to the disembodied gaze and anatomical calculations of the artist.

I wanted to go but can't make it because September is one of the busiest time for me at work :sad46:

If you're going, please enjoy and bring us report

I wish I can go 😅 but due to family issues 😤 I can’t go.

Coming through the main page of forum and I saw the private labels on the competition threads. I have not bought the season pass yet and suddenly I realized if I don't visit those threads I don't need to tolerate nay sayers anymore. Oh, it's so good that I will share my opinion about Yuzu's competitions just here without going into debate with people who will easily forget he is double Olympic Champion, the same way that they kept forgetting all his achievements in the last almost a decade. I'm sure they will wait to see a smallest falter eagerly to write him off and say who and who surpassed Hanyu. I suggest that none of us buy the season pass because we do not need to prove him to anyone, anymore. We can keep this thread full of positivity and joy in the upcoming season regardless of his competition results and I'm looking forward to it :thank: :ghug:

I’m not buying the season pass. For some reason this place (not this thread) isn't very nice to Yuzuru especially the competition threads. 🙃

I think competition thread was very nice for Yuzuru during Olympics. But I´m not buying either. I just don´t go them very often...

Hi everyone! I’ve been a fan of Yuzuru Hanyu since I first saw him at this years Olympic Games. His free skate in particular was an iconic and magical moment in sport for me. His technicality and sheer Roger Federer-like grace and charisma, not to mention it being his second Olympic gold medal, made me an instant fan. Along with Evgenia Medvedeva and Shoma Uno they’ve all got me into following this amazing sport for the first time. I’m excited for the new season and intrigued to see what Hanyu is going to accomplish next! [emoji4]

Welcome to this thread :) We all are excited too :agree2: But, personally, I'm not worried anymore, I think the more he skates it's a privilege for the sport. He does not need any more medals or wins, he is just gracing the sport with his presence  (Deep down though I'm counting on that third OGM :agree2:)

I don't agree at all but because I like this thread to be fun and joy I don't bring back all those meaningless discussions we had with nay sayers during Olympics :) Anyhow, I'm happy that I'm going to have fun in this thread in 2018-19 season, GO TEAM YUZU :points:

Thanks! [emoji4] I agree with you there, he’s accomplished so much in the sport that anything else is a bonus now. A 3rd Olympic gold would be out of this world, but I wouldn’t bet against him pulling it off. [emoji106]

It would be awesome, but my little lists of dreams for Yuzuru is modest. No, he doesn't meed any more wins or medals, but being Yuzu, he'll go for them full throttle anyway. So.... I'm dreaming that he

- stuns fans and critics alike with his programs (and Yuzu, why are we still waiting?)... oh, and shows the people who bang on about nofrills, 'manly' costumes who gives a damn about what others think by blinding us all with briliance

- takes back his GPF and WC just to show he can and then keeps them to show who's the GOAT

- wins 4CC because he just never has, and it would be look so pretty with the rest of his gold hoard

- gets his blessed 4A (not too soon though, I fret about his health...)

- breaks his records at least once more because ehh, why not?

..... yeah, totally modest, don't you think? :yes2:

Well, I am planning to purchase season pass simply because I like the competitions and reading its discussions in general including ladies' single. And I am just scared that wrong information about Yuzuru could be surfacing there (which I dislike the most), so probably I'll keep an eye on  But please don't worry, I won't bring the topic of other threads into this thread ;) I'm looking forward to having fun here positively with lots of support for Yuzuru :cheer:

😂😂😂 that is pretty much my list for Yuzu.
The number 1 for me is getting his GPF and WC titles back. I remember a commentary saying that Yuzu only won 2 WC so he isn’t considered a GOAT even though he has 2 OGM 🙄
I can’t wait for everyone to take a load of Yuzu cherry blossom costume during the gala.. the more the men’s wear office and training clothes as costume the more bling bling and frills on his costume 😤

Wait, what cherry blossom costume? How did I miss this!?

I couldn't find any pictures. Are there some?
