Been super super busy, but gotta watch the news clip, pop in and say:

Wig! Snatched!

:dbana: Slay me Hanyu :dbana:

It's amazing. Is it just me or did his skating skills improve?

What's amazing about Yuzuru is the fact that he always wants to improve, even things he is good at :D Be it skating skill, jumps or spins.

I love this program so much already. But it looks very packed and with any mistake it will be hard to catch up to the music. Kind of like with LGC.
Anyone I can't wait until ACI

More transitions it seems too! I can't believe it myself, but I feel this program has potential to even top Seimei in my opinion.

i love it!! trying to guess where chsq is cause he has so many movements between elements, any part can count as one  he seems to be skating more open than ever, cant wait to see the full program :hap57:

I think his free programme could be a masterpiece. Can’t wait to see the whole thing. He clearly enjoys skating the programme. Why is it not ACI already?!

Really curious about his short, though. I wasn’t a fan of Ballade at first, but his performance at the Olympics is equal to his R&J1 at Worlds for me in terms of “skate of his life.” And Ballade definitely became a masterpiece — the delayed head roll didn’t work for me initially, but as the programme became even more textured, it felt earned and deliberate. While I’m glad he won’t be doing something like LGC (it wasn’t a bad short but it wasn’t my thing, and nobody can bring out each note in an instrumental piece like Hanyu), I have no idea “what” Otonal will be like without knowing more about the music edit. I’m sensing a Ballade Pt. 2-esque short, though I doubt it’ll be so similar as to draw comparisons along the line of “good, but not Ballade.”

That free, though. The waiting is killing me.

Oh me too - ACI cannot come too soon. Being a Yuzu fan (and probably most of the rest, I know) seems to be a mix of waitwaitfretwaitfretwait, moments of sheer fright for him and his health, and absolute joy and wonder.... it's exhausting, and I'm not even on the ice!!!

Where is the preparation for 3Lo? There is almost none

Same! To me, all looked "steps" and the jumps were put in between, which is exactly Yuzuru aims as ideal figure skating.

I don't say this in other places, but please let me do here. He is at another level than other skaters.

The LP is so cohesive. Everything transitions from one movement to the next seamlessly.

THIS is peak choreography. Hanyu's skating is at another level from the rest of the field.

I agree... there are other skaters I do rather love (quite a gew of the men especially, and the number's growing) but even Javi, Stephane and Aljona can't t evoke quite the same sense of wonder that Yuzu can. On a video. On a small computer screen.

I honestly do think that he is lightning in a crystal cage....
