I saw on Twitter an Instagram post about a poster for Yuzu's birthday. The girl who posted it skates at TCC and She commented that he isn't gonna see it (so I guess that Yuzu is still in Japan and he doesn't plan to come soon)
I think we can expect the WD from nationals anytime soon.😓😓 Maybe he's gonna do the rehab in japan too. I hope Brian and gives us some news this weekend.

So this is the fan who put up the poster at the bus stop. The fan art is cute.

Yahoo reposted the article. A lot of people commented under it. Hopefully yuzu won't pressure himself into JPN for any reason.

Most of the top comments from Yahoo is furious over the article and hope Yuzuru puts his health first. The public isn't stupid, they know those crying it's unfair Yuzu misses nationals again doesn't really care about fairness, but have ill intentions for him. I hope his team understands that and doesn't end up pushing it.

yes! even if he doesn't compete for nationals because he is the reining OGM he will be automatically added in team japan. No need to rush things. It's better to wait until he is fully recovered and see his majestic skating again than see him skate later on Nationals and might end up shortening his skating career.

The Federation want Yuzu at Worlds in Japan - if they have any sense at all, that is waaayy more important than him being at Nationals. They remember February. And they know full well the vast majority of Japanese respect, admire and/or love him and want him to do whatever is best for him. It would be a PR disaster if they pushed him into it and he wasn't quite fit yet... and got hurt again.

The article is simply envious clickbait (and boy, did it bait! Badmouthing Yuzu to his public is one way to get thousands of comments, yes...)

I'm about to fall asleep but I had to say I passed by a broadcast for Japanese TV on my way out of the arena (took a picture of Nobu!) and saw a couple of fans standing within view of the cameras with a big banner that said "(Pooh's face) believe in (Yuzuru's face) and we'll be (picture of a bee) waiting for you."

Yuzu if you lurk here put your health first.
All of us wish you the happiest birthday today.
We all can wait. So take your time.

happy birthday to the one and only Yuzu!! very grateful that he always finds motivation to skate and continues to show us what fs is, hopefully he is recovering nicely and wont do anything to risk of making healing time lonfer (pretty sure he wont though :agree:), i wish you happiness, health and and lots of love!! hopefully he is having great birthday!! :hb:

Good grief, just imagine if Yuzu was at GPF, they didn't even get close to his record in the short :drama:

Well, it's a reminder what a privelage it is to watch each time he skates

I am very grateful Yuzu was born, may his 24th year, wherever it takes him, be full of joy :cheer:

Yuzu's lowest score this season is something like five marks up, and we won't even mention COR (whoops, I mentioned it....) though to be fair, Shoma's Lombardia makes the GPF ones look dire too. But Yuzu's SP record is set to stand for a long time, I think. And it won't be easy beating the combined from Helsinki, either.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of them passes his FS record (which IMO he was on track to smash the next day in Russia ) but if he takes care and gets better he can always aim to take it back :luv17:

I really thought that Nationals is ad acta as well

I wonder, if it's 100% Yuzu's intention to compete or some external pressure from JSF or whomever...?
The three weeks rest are not even over yet... not to mention his rehab and reactivation of all his jumps etc.
I know, the vocabulary 'impossible' is not listed in Yuzuru Hanyu's dictionary, but let's be honest: Nationals is not Olympics. It's not worth the risk of a career ending injury... :(

I wish him all best whatever his decision is

I got the feeling that the JSF have already indicated that a withdrawal will not affect his spot for Worlds, and Yuzu was quoted (albeit vaguely) as indicating he did know it might be necessary.

It could be he's recovering well and just aching to get back to practice - he does so love being on the ice.

I highly doubt the JSF would want to do anything that might jeopardise his health for Worlds. I think it's more likely they are following him round with a palanquin offering to carry him.

Happy birthday to my most favorite male skater. The one who made me fall in love with figure skating, and the one who served as inspiration for me to aim for better heights. You are awesome Yuzuru, best wishes and may many more be inspired by you. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!:hap10::hb:
