I tried a translation of the lyrics but I don't know how the song has been arranged in FaOI yet since I haven't watched the whole program. But after reading original lyrics, I feel like I understand why Yuzuru decided to do this song and why he looked like being committed to it.

I tried translating literally as much as possible so it might sound a little strange in some parts. I think the phrase of "The tears of blood, shining in silver, pierce the mask" can also be interpreted as "The tears of blood pierce the mask shining silver." if we read Japanese original sentence.

OMG, the earthquake has just hit Chiba (Makuhari is in Chiba) now and it was big. But no tunami warning, I hope everyone at the venue is safe :sad21:

(I live in Kanagawa and it was pretty big but smaller than Makuhari)

Blue is a lucky colour for Yuzuru I think. Purple supposed to be kingly, royal.

You're probably right that it was CoC 2014 that turned him off wearing red in competition. Looking at his earlier R & J 2 costume where he insisted on having the stones sewn therein in his favorite (lucky) colors though, I thought I saw some red stones there.

Lotte of course will have him in red, hence the red skating costume and red sweater, which I approve. Not the red suit with black shirt though. :laugh:

Returning to the R and J 2 costume, there were also dark and light green, pink, and purple stones so we can watch out for these colors in his future competition costumes.

ETA: My prayers and thoughts to those affected by the earthquake.

During the break, Yuzuru came to the rink side and talked with the staff. Right after the earthquake, he also came out and looked around the crowd and checked their security. After that, he left, and came back again to see the earthquake reports on the monitor and went back to the backstage.

(I guess he wanted to make sure about tsunami.)

Delayed single axel, yes please.... the quads and 3A may be more impressive and more difficult and more worthwhile in competitions, but for me there is very little more beautiful than his delayed single axel.
