Yuzuru Hanyu

A new report from Wajima zone by Yuzuru as the NNN TV Special Messenger has been aired and posted on YouTube by News Every TV.
Yuzu reconnects with three elderly ladies from Wajima Morning Market we had met on several occasions before, he is visiting the market itself, getting to meet new survivors and tackle on new problems. His persistence in helping this community is really impressive, truly worthy of a two-time Olympic champion

The report is still in Japanese but you can use YT subtitles tool for now, and hopefully News Every will post an English-subtitled video soon.

NTV has also posted the same video on their site:

Meanwhile, the Ishikawa Prefecture (where Noto is) is enjoying Yuzuru Hanyu's touristic influence; the latest bus tour has just ended, and the next one will be next month:

Sorajiro, News Every's weather forecast mascot, gifted Yuzuru Hanyu an acrylic standee, and gave the capital information that he had nine crests:

During the AnAn Q&A session, Yuzu apparently shifted his traditional choices of "favourite skater" pointing to Kurt Browning instead of Johnny Weir, and Plushenko. Interesting.... He also confirmed that he is not returning to competitions "100%" - but that's hardly a surprise.

After AnAn, we'll have Quadruple Axel!

This reporter from Business Magazine, Sendai Keizai-Kai, says that their latest issue sold very well in bookstores thanks to fans of Yuzuru Hanyu visiting Sendai and the surroundings, and that while it was still available on their online store, Sendai is such a "short" train journey that it may be worth a visit...

Aqua is happy of how went particularly the Sendai Aqua Experience Fair, and writes (I think that everybody had assumed as much?) that his exhibited costume was made to his measure, and that his figure is great... Yes, we know!

Another sponsor of Yuzuru Hanyu, Towa, will again have a booth at the Japan Drugstore Show 2026, on the first Weekend of August in Tokyo; usually it's a meeting point for fans of Yuzuru Hanyu, with posters, a video message and sometimes goodies:

Aqua also rejoiced in the success of the Nagoya Aqua Experience Fair:

Photographer Koichi Kaizuka is going to hold his first lectures on Yuzuru Hanyu at the Sendai Mediatheque on September 26th, registrations start on July 4th:

Lectures in Sendai are the most frequent after Tokyo, Osaka and perhaps Nagoya, but it's the first time that Sendai residents and visitors will be able to attend this Photographer's lectures there.

As to his colleague Tsutomu Kishimoto, he's going to give his first lecture on Yuzuru Hanyu, on the theme "Yuzuru Hanyu as an Athlete", in Tokyo on July 25th:

Here's a comment of his on the camera he's using:

The Couture on Ice Exhibition is starting very soon; the organisers have set up a Questions and Answers thread, here's in this thread the way to access the Exhibition inside the Tokyo Tower:

Here are recently posted details on the merchandise they have received:

I'm still unable to catch up with fanart... I have so often skipped many days (and skip so many fanart works every day anyway) that I can't resolve to do it again... So I'm still in June...

This one puts Singer Kenshi Yonezu's new song for the 2026 Soccer World Cup, Crow, in the perspective of his 2025 collaboration with Yuzuru Hanyu on Bow & Arrow:

Being a Frenchie, this picture has for me a "special hidden meaning", I have no idea if Liberta knows this fable; there's no Wikipedia page in English but I think that automated translation would work well:

Of course, I can't resist an animation, and this one is beautiful:

Anan too was already trending of course, here's a new instance (after the white peacock) of Hikaru Kira's humour about their own drawings:

Here's a Happy End fanart work, fitting right now after the release of the latest behind-the-scenes:
