Interesting results here. Very close scores for the top 3. 0.15 between Dom-Sh and Denkova Staviski? with a lower TES score for the latter?
Can't wait to see those programs

Wow, that was a nice little gift this morning to wake up and find D/L in the lead after the OD. Virtually tied, of course, with second place, but still, way to go. Traditionally the OD has not been strong for them so this is a good sign. Someone mentioned their weak twizzles, and I agree, this is by far the weakest skating point for this team, but they have noticeably improved over the last couple of years, and they are the best lifters in the world with speed second to none. And frankly, it's not like a lot of teams have really fantastic twizzles.

Well D/S had great twizzles, but their little stumble was punished although it doesn't affected the element. But the awlful twizzles of D/L haven't been punished???That is hole element!!! I don't mind winning medals, but with skating and with something else

The top 3 are VERY close. I still think Den-Sta will win but they cannot afford to make any mistakes.

Yes they can't afford even the smallest mistakes, because they get punished a lot, unlike... lets say in this case... D/L and Dom/S
The same rule is valid also for the French. Actually sometimes they got punished even without mistakes Funny sport

They are there by Speedy's request to put down Delobel and Schernfelder. This is also the beginning of the downfall of Denk/Stav to lose the Worlds to Domina/Shabalan. It's the same old Win By Whatever It Takes mode.

How is Marika Humphreys a part of "Russian Mafia"? Just because her husband is Russian?

Oh, I'm on the conspiracy theory train as to the ascendence of Dom/Shab up the world rankings, but I don't think they'll win worlds this year. This year they are being boosted into medal contention, next year they will be hunting for gold, then the year after they will likely become untouchable, as N/K were.

What does Comrade Speedy have against D/S? I usually enjoy them than other teams, but I rarely watch dance. Is there a story there?

Technically, I believe he's actually Ukrainian.

Since Marika was one half of an extremely under-rated, very talented couple, I can't see her being part of a conspiracy to try and screw over other under-rated very talented couples (in this case, meaning Deloebel & Schoenfelder).

No, Vitaliy is actually *technically* British, though yes, he was originally Ukrainian, but has lived in the UK since 1997, and been married to Marika since 99. Marika was an extremely talented icedancer, and underrated with 3 different partners, thanks Jonny for speaking up for her, :) and for the information of Joe & iloveaxel [you two are really beginning to sound like cracked records] who obviously know absolutely nothing about Marika, here are a few facts:

She's a former Elite Dancer, competing at Euros and Worlds, and Olympics in 2002, is now a Coach and Choreographer at Deeside in North Wales, went to Frankfurt in 2005 to take the exams to qualify as a Tech Specialist, and was Assistant TS at Worlds 06.

Anyone suggesting she would be carrying out her duties in anything other than an independant, professional manner needs to stop posting libelous tosh and shut up pontificating on a person they know nothing about!

ETA: If Melissa Gregory-Pethukov becomes a TS after her competitive career is over, are you going to post that she is part of the "Russian Conspiracy"?

Technically you're right - Vitali is (or was) a Ukrainian citizen; however ethnically he is Russian, not Ukrainian. When I speak with other Russians, I never say I'm "Russian" - I say I'm Jewish; I can say that I'm from Russia, or that I am a Russian speaker. BTW, the city Vitali is from, Kharkiv, is a very Russian city, with most inhabitants speaking Russian; I'd be surprised if Vitali speaks any Ukrainian at all.

In any case, my point is that Marika is not likely to be biased.
