When Mt. St. Helen's blew we got the tail end of the ash in NW Montana so the wind can carry ash a long distance. I'm guessing we were about 500 miles E.
well she's been blowing off and on for the last week or so. It got really bad saturday and Anchorage got quite a bit of the stuff (more so on the south end of town... we were lucky and got a very light dusting at the house) the whole town smells like sulpher, yuck.
