Good job to Adelia, Sofia, Minchae and Lindsay! All did great, the scores are also a bit better than at previous stages. Minchae could’ve been third!
All deserved higher PCS, I’m still baffled how lowballed everyone is.

How do you know? Did they even decide how selections will be done this season? Hell, will JGPF even take place?
I think whatever key for the finals will be chosen, Adelia fulfills all possible variants (do not want to jinx that of course).

The Korean girl certainly should have received bronze. Even without that unfortunate spin. Her presentation is not her strongest side (well, on the other hand, this is a common problem for most Asian girls, let's put it down to cultural differences). But her level is certainly higher than that of American girl, take at least her strong, flying jumps.

If they use placements, she has a 1st and a 3rd place. I don't see how she can be out with that. The only ones who can match the points of these placements or get more are the 4 others Russians who have a 2nd assignement and Levito.
If they use scores, she's already above Samodekina on total or average score of both events. Only 5 skaters can do better (Akatieva, Zhilina, Zinina, Muravieva, Levito). So that puts her in 6th place at the worst. A qualifying place.

She won, congratulations. Now I'm just going to cry in the corner for about 10 minutes before I come back for the FDs (both Nebelhorn and this)
This girl is certainly talented and I am sure she will have more chances to show herself and take the place due to her.

I hope she will at least get a clear outside lutz. Height and distance are important but edges too (especially when you're not a protected skater).
But she didn't have that issue on either jump in the SP. Within the span of a single competition, she has it on BOTH jumps now. I seriously want to question what these people "think" when making these calls. There's about as much reality to that lutz 'e' call as Kaori Sakamoto's "Lip".

Wow! Very good final. Minchae Kim is a star. I see her potentially learning a 3A with those gigantic 2As. Her jumps are so high. I really enjoyed watching her and was so mad with her mistake with the final spin. It cost her the bronze medal. Lindsay T. is consistent and she should be proud of going for the triple axel. You can tell she is a technical specialist. I just need her to smile and to not look like she is about to cry before her performances. She will be a fixture in the Senior Grand Prix Circuit for America in the future. I can tell. Sofia S. I knew that the 3A combo attempts would be her undoing from the SP in both events. Now she may have lost a spot in the finals. Makes me so mad because her triples are so amazing and she lands them so easily. Loved all her combos at the very end. Her 4S is really amazing and I liked her program more than Adeliya. But, congrats to Adeliya. She went for the 4T and didn’t fall which exceeded what she was doing in practice. I think she won the gold and earned it. Eteri stars never seem to fail to perform when it counts. She is the first to guarantee herself a spot in the Finals and she should be happy to cross 210.

I wonder what will happen in regards to deciding who makes it to the finals. Sofia S. scores over 200 at both her events finishing 2nd and 3rd. However, Lindsay, despite, lower scores, has a 1st and 3rd.

Wait what, an "e" ? I didn't read the protocols and thought it was a !.

How do you go from a clean lutz to a flutz in a span of the night?
