From the interaction off ice with his coach (?) afterwards it seemed like they saw this as a tryout, when he shook his head and pressed his lips together it looked like he was saying "nope, not yet" or something. So he might have felt something in his leg after the first combo or the after the second jump that went wrong. He tried a third and couldn't really lift off. He seemed pretty settled and decided quickly so maybe he has also been expecting it?
Maybe he's fit enough for a short atm, but not for both programs in 2 days?
