Marie-Jade is Canadian by birth... they skated for France but came back... as Montreal was always their home.

I'm not really sold on this FD yet, unfortunately, but it's true that after last year's Chopin (my favorite FD of last season, with Elegie a close second and probably Chock/Bates Daft Punk after that) almost anything would've been a letdown.

Hawayek/Baker used to struggle with twizzles routinely and now I'm over here loving their twizzle sequence Love that they didn't try to do too much in between sets, they instead played into the stillness of the music.

That was incredible.

I thought they had a very soft and flowing skate. May not be my favorite of the event, but I thought it was well done.

Yeah, that was good. But I see I need to watch and study a bit more. What I thought was a stationary lift was called as a curve lift.

So lyrical and they really pull it off. I actually really like their RD a lot and this is such a nice contrast showing their range which keeps expanding.
