2023 Budapest Trophy | Oct 13-15

The 2023 Budapest Trophy will take place Oct 13-15, 2023, in Budapest, Hungary, and will be held in conjunction with the Budapest Trophy Challenger Series event. It will feature the Singles (Women and Men) and Ice Dance disciplines in the Junior category as well as Senior Pairs.

The event will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating, the Technical Rules for Ice Dance 2023/24 (ISU Communication 2560), and relevant ISU Communications.

Some nice entries here:

• 33 entries, with the long-awaited return of Vivien Papp, another opportunity to see Polina Dzsumanyijazova (both HUN) and the second international competition of the season for Logan Higase-Chen (USA) in Jr Women.
• 12 entries, including Hugo Willi Herrmann (GER) and Aleksei Vlasenko (HUN) in Jr Men
• 7 entries, including Psurna/Novak (CZE), Grimm/Savitskiy and Mayer/Calderari (GER), plus Pidgaina/Koval (UKR) in Jr Ice Dance.
• Polman/Renoldi (ITA) as the only Jr Pairs team (though I would not be surprised to see them withdraw in the end, as this event won't count for tech minimums with only one team)
• 5 entries, consisting of Pavlova/Sviatchenko (HUN), Valesi/Piazza (ITA), Hase/Volodin (GER), Danilova/Tsiba (NED) and Gamez/Korovin (PHI)

maybe we will see more at the updated entry list because this entry list came out a week ago. i wouldn't be surprised to see the slovak and/or the second italian team compete here

I wish I knew the time the pairs will be skating....Daria/Michel are (unsurprisingly) favourites of mine. I would love to watch, but even if there is no stream I would like to follow the competition outcomes en hopefully a replay later.

The Senior Pairs SP is due to start at 16:49 CEST on Friday 13th, and the Senior Pairs FS is due to start at 21:20 CEST on Saturday 14th.

In each case, the Junior Pairs are on straight before the Seniors (there is only one Junior partnership entered)

not sure how three question marks meant I am shocked It was simply a question. I am a bit surprised because there have been rumours that they were splitting. Rumours are only rumours obviously. And yes, someone else mentioned it in this thread that he did look deflated and done after ACI. So yeah. The ??? are not really much surprising to some fans.

I've been able to find an updated entry list here, but I guess we won't really know until everyone is on the ice, will we?

• Jr Women is down one entry will Noelle Streuli (POL) withdrawing.
• No changes for the junior men.
• Grimm/Savitskiy (GER) have withdrawn, so we're currently at 6 Jr Ice Dance teams.
• No additions or withdrawals for the Jr Pairs.
• 4 entries for Sr Pairs - Valesi/Piazza (ITA, currently listed for Diamond Spin at the end of next week) and Gamez/Korovin (PHI) have withdrawn, but Ioulia Chtchetinina/Michal Wozniak (POL) have been added (though they too are listed for Diamond Spin)

After finishing Day 1 with a stand-alone segment, we start Day 2 with another. We stay with the Junior Singles, but start the Free Skates with chaos! 12 boys, arranged into two groups of 6.
