Our double-bill of girls continues, but we move from the Senior SP to the Junior FS. 30 girls, arranged into two groups of 6 girls; then a resurfacing; then two groups of 6 girls; then a resurfacing; and then a group of 6 girls.

After that marathon Ladies double-bill, we were supposed to have a more modestly sized double-bill now for the Pairs. Except that the only Junior partnership withdrew from the SP. So, we just have a group of 4 Senior partnerships.

As I can't see what is happening, I will put this post up now just in case they bring the Seniors forward to start at the time the Juniors were meant to start. (Unlikely, I know. But stranger things have happened).

Dear posters,
All the senior pairs posts are now in separate pairs threads in the CS Budapest Trophy subforum, despite the fact that there weren't enough senior pairs entered to qualify as a Challenger. This is very sad, because all 4 were very good!!!

We think it is somewhat less confusing to have all the seniors together, and will be handling later Challenger comps this way.

not sure how three question marks meant I am shocked It was simply a question. I am a bit surprised because there have been rumours that they were splitting. Rumours are only rumours obviously. And yes, someone else mentioned it in this thread that he did look deflated and done after ACI. So yeah. The ??? are not really much surprising to some fans.

Hmm that's interesting, if I remember correctly in my observation that these two have different reasons or no common goal (Bella wanted to represent the Philippines while Sasha wanted to be competitive which is I have to admit as a Filipino admitted that we can be complacent at times or being content of the level we have). Plus I also read an article from FS gossips that she is rather unwilling to take corrections from him where in fact that she has problems with her technique as mention from Marina.

Sharing a common style may seemed noble but I think that it would be better if they should stick with the Russian technique and I think that Bella can stand out due to her charisma. (Michael Martinez is Russian-trained and his charisma stood out plus he wanted to compete well aside from being represent if only he has given the chance to have the financial support that he needed the most to unleash his full potential as a figure skater yet we as a nation failed him)

It is always difficult to have the same synergy, not only in skating styles but in personality. Both need to compromise. It seems like neither is interested much in finding a middle ground. I face this constantly in my field. The best teams are the ones who are able to meet in the middle, share common goals and value one another with respect. I don't know them at all, so I am talking here in general.
