The 2023 Diamond Spin is set to take place Oct 19-22, 2023, in Katowice, Poland, and will feature the Singles (Women and Men) and Pairs disciplines in the Novice, Junior and Senior categories.

The event will be conducted in accordance with the 2022 ISU Constitution and General Regulations, the ISU Special Regulations & Technical Rules for Single & Pair Skating and relevant ISU Communications.

Senior Pairs lineup looks really good

Quite a few names I've seen before (and am very happy to see again):

• Tara Prasad, Julia Sylvia Gunnarsdottir and Julia Sauter in Sr Women - This will be very fun to watch from a pure performance standpoint, if not necessarily the technical standpoint.
• Pretty big and interesting pairs field in Seniors - Two Czech teams, two Italians (including Ghilardi/Ambrosini), two Polish teams (first season together for both, and possibly debut international competition for both if Chtchetinina/Wozniak don't end up skating at Budapest Trophy), plus the South African team and the Senior debut of Salatzki/Roesler
• Two Icelandic Jr Women (very unusual), Jana Horcickova and a whole barrage of Polish junior girls
• 7 (!) Jr pairs - Three Germans, the Czech, Polish and Slovakian team, plus one of the baby Italians

Biggest surprise for me - A novice pairs team from Slovakia This will be their second international competition as a pair.

Day 1 of the Diamond Spin starts with a Basic Novice double-bill. 2 boys, followed by 3 girls.

I suspect that they are having a combined Warm-Up group, so I will do a combined post.
