I also have notes on the Novice men but don't think I get them posted until tomorrow, so here's the results for now. I might add that I agree completely with the judges' placements.

Unless something drastic happens, there will be notes on the pairs as well as the men for sure. I MIGHT take notes on some of the ladies, but no promises. If you hadn't guessed yet, pairs & men are my favourite events.

I probably won't get anything posted from Sunday until I get home to Vancouver. There aren't any media credentials for this event, so I only have access to the 'net from my hotel and I'll be checking out before I go to the rink on Sunday.

Skaters are shown in start order. I’m very bad at remembering to count revs in spins until it appears that they might be short revs – so a spin that I could have noted as being good could be short revs and therefore a deduction.

Notes white satin shirt with coloured pant splotches black pants & suspenders - same program music as last year – it’s a good one and worth keeping for the 2nd year / send in / 2a nice except for skiddy landing / spread eagle / 3z2t best one of the day - did a number in warmup and one landed one but not as nice as this one/ flycam is very good into sit/ S ftwrk moves very well with a fair bit of one foot work / ftwrk 2l / sit ch sit is very fast & low perfectly centered / combo spin had trouble a couple of times and almost lost his revs but I think he managed enough / very quiet skater, nice edges

Notes black sarkly with one white gloves - michael jackson same as last year / he did this very well last year good program to keep / 2a / 3z turn 2t very nice z / sit ch sit is fast & very low on front travel on back end / missed a spin before sit / ftwrk 2l / he's playing to the music very well into S ftwrk that is complex with good variations / combo spin camsit back camsit upright / He's a bit scratchy at times

Notes black shirt & pants / dramatic heavy music quite fast / 2z bit awkward on landing but didn't put hand down / 2s / sit ch sit travel ok speed / 2a fell / 2f landedforward but looked like more than 1-1/2 revs - not quite sure what I saw / flycam was ok - he had a coule in warmup that he completely lost so quite good for him / I missed a coule of elements / 2z turns 2t / sit spin is soso / strt ftwrk is ok went with music / nice 2f into a nice forward scratch spin & hydroblade into final pos is quite nice /his basic skating is a bit weaker than the others but he didn't give up - kept pushing through the pgm

Notes music is 1492 black & grey tunic top with bit of beige trim - period style / nice chor to start the program off / 3f hand down tight landing / more chor with spread eagle / 3s wasn't really pretty into it but clean / he's lose a bit of speed into 3l / sit spin with really neat pos variation that I can't quite describe / 3z had it then fell / spread eagle spiral chor into 2a 2t fell on toe / sit ch sit with 'ravi' pos change on front / 3z / O ftwrk into 2a that he almost lost the landing / combo spin withgreat pos very centered & fast / I really impressed with his spins & feel for the music
