Here is the thread where you can make your predictions for the German Championships.

Entries/Results Page:
http://www.deu-event.de/results/dm2015/index.htm

The Senior competitions start on Saturday 13th December 2014 at 15:00 CET (14:00 GMT) with the Short Dance.

So, predictions need to be in 1 hour before that, i.e. 14:00 CET (13:00 GMT)

If you need any help working out what time this is where you are, here is a Time Converter that Mrs. P very kindly posted in the Cup of China Predictions thread.

Thank you to Alex D for telling us the schedule and entry lists.

As there are only 4 entries, we will just be predicting on the podium positions in Ice Dance, with 4th Place as the alternate.

EDIT (12[SUP]th[/SUP] Dec 2014): Unfortunately, due to the withdrawal of 2 couples, the Pairs competition has now been reduced to 2 entries, and so will not count towards the Game score. However, feel free to make predictions on it anyway, just for fun!

EDIT (13[SUP]th[/SUP] Dec 2014): Added in the Entries/Results Page link. When I copied in the start order tables, I discovered there have been a whole pile of withdrawals since Alex D posted the entry lists.

While we will try our best to take this into account when doing the scoring, it might be a good idea to amend your predictions if you do not have enough alternates to cover the withdrawals.

I have also discovered that the Senior Ice Dance doesn't actually start until 16:15 CET (15:15 GMT). Hence, the deadline for predictions is now moved back to 15:15 CET (14:15 GMT).

Let the fun begin!!!

I admit I will definitely have to do some research on over half of these skaters before listing my predictions, but I'm excited for the fresh faces. And happy to have a hand in scoring these rounds :cheer:

In view of the split of Annabelle and Ruben (I assume they won't participate in German Nationals), I simply eliminate them from my list and now my pairs prediction looks as follows:

Pairs:

1. Mari VARTMANN /Aaron VAN CLEAVE
2. Danielle MONTALBANO / Konrad HOCKER-SCHOLLER
3. Minerva-Fabienne HASE / Nolan SEEGERT

Yes,

this is correct

http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/sh...en-Blommaert&p=1038706&viewfull=1#post1038706

They didn't had the best results this year, then the health issues, puberty and other reasons unfortunately made them split. Its a big hit for German FS, its not like we have that many pairs :( and we already lost our second ice dance pair ...

Minerva and Nolen look great together though, I like them a lot.

Maybe Annabelle goes back to Singles now, she was quite good there in the past, we will see.

It can't help that Ingo Steuer has left Germany and is now coaching in Florida with John Zimmerman and Silvia Fontana.

:slink: nor that Ruben and Annabelle's coach was that sleazebucket Karel Fajfr.

Who is left coaching pairs in Germany that has the tech skills, and to whom would trust one's children?

Oh, Doris! I never thought I would see the day that you referred to somebody as a "sleazebucket"!!!

But, in this instance, I could not agree more! But, you probably gathered that by how many times I was bringing him and his indiscretions up in the Carolina thread...!

If anybody is wondering what on Earth we are on about, click on the Wikipedia link Doris provided, and then click through to the newspaper articles in "Der Zeit" and "Die Welt" that are referenced. Both are in German, but are easily translated. Suffice to say, they are very detailed and informative.

And then you'll understand why we are so astonished that he is still involved in the sport!

But, getting back on topic, we now have our scorers finalised for the Nationals Game. For more details, see this post in the rules thread.

I'll post my own predictions nearer the end of the week, once I get the spreadsheet and my GP Final predictions sorted.

Absolutely brilliant idea!!!! Thank you so much!

Also, thank you because it reminded me that, last season, I put links to the skaters' ISU Bios in the original posts.

Now, as is often the case, there have been a few partnership changes since some of them last competed internationally. So, below is a list of the ISU Bios have linked to instead.

Pairs:

Danielle MONTALBANO / Evgeni KRASNOPOLSKI (ISR)
Julia LINCKH / Konrad HOCKER-SCHOLLER (GER)
Vanessa BAUER / Nolan SEEGERT (GER)

Dance:

Sophie JONES / Richard SHARPE (GBR)
Shari KOCH / Christian NÜCHTERN (GER)

Hope this helps

This wasn’t as bad as I feared it would be. There were actually more names I recognised than I was expecting.

One of the reasons I was so determined to include the German Championships in the Game was that I thought it would be interesting to see how Annabelle Prölß and Ruben Blommaert got on now they had more international experience at Senior level under their belt. (They had beaten Mari Vartmann / Aaron van Cleave to the Senior National title 2 years ago, but did not compete last year).

But, alas, Annabelle and Ruben have now split.

The other reason was that I was interested to see how the singles skaters compared to each other. We have seen quite a few of them compete internationally in various competitions, but never seen them compete against each other in the same international competition. So, this is a chance.

Hopefully, there will be a livestream, or at least videos that we can watch…
