You know, I could see them rocking a WWII-era swing number, to the music of the Andrews sisters or something like that. With Paul in a sailor suit maybe and Piper in upswept hair and USO army khaki. They’d have to put the Midnight Blues in there somewhere, but it doesn’t need to spoil the fun :)
Deal me in!

For those who have never seen it, here is a link to the Andrews Sisters singing "Boogie Woogie Bugle boy": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8of3uhG1tCI.
And for the few oldies here who may remember some old stars of British comedy, here is a version done by Morecambe and Wise with Leonard Rossiter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKlkvzuv-G8.
My late wife who was from England was a great fan and introduced me to Morecambe and Wise as well as to Leonard Rossiter.
I see re-enactors do these types of tunes all the time at the Oshkosh flyin in the warbird area. Ann Landers once admitted she had no idea what "blowin' 8 to the bar" meant!!!!! :laugh2:

I can't help but think of a moody, pandemic blues leading into a street dance once we are all free from the virus...I hope someone can make this happen for me. I am hoping for the French to do this.

Musical question - is Summertime the right tempo for Midnight Blues?

Just wanted to thank all you folks who posted videos and pix bouncing off my swing idea for Gilles & Poirier. I thoroughly enjoyed them all and now, thanks to this Morecambe & Wise clip posted above, let me revise my costuming ideas a bit. Paul could do it in drag!
Now that would make everybody sit up and take notice. I dare you, Carol Lane.
