Just realized that in France actually, we say "patinage Messieurs" and "patinage Dames" - literally, Gentlemen and Ladies' skating. Eh, we're so posh But at least, there's no weird distinction between "Men" and "Ladies".
It took me a while to remember because I seldom watch figure skating in my mother tongue (youtube rules ! plus I don't have tv and the coverage isn't that amazing anyways). I wonder if now it's going to be Hommes-Femmes or if we'll stick to Messieurs-Dames. The latter sounds better imo... Well, we'll see !
