Really great moment for him, the short program. I love that he got a standing ovation. He was so grateful in kiss and cry.

Yuzury pushed Misha to wave to Audience, did Y tell to M to say good bye to audience? Why he is quitting just before the Olympics season? Is he so busy to work? He earned the place to his country, who will get it if not Misha? Sorry not to remember anyone, was there two skaters last year for UZB? Ok, he is 25 and does not have to chance to medal, but we will miss him. But We will see many of his choreographies for sure, and very good ones.

Misha has been hinting forever this year in his social media, this could be his last year, he may be retiring, thanks to all his mentors. He has also been battling a sore ankle. Last year, he was more open about the toll that trying to "up" his jumps had taken on him.

I will be sad to see him go.:sad21: But only Misha knows what is right for him and his health.

In this article he says he lacks support from his federation:

http://rsport.ru/figure_skating/20170402/1118505716.html

HELSINKI, April 2 - R-Sport, Andrei Simonenko. Skater from Uzbekistan Misha Dzhi said the agency "F-Sport", that it will be very difficult to pursue a career without the support of the National Federation of figure skating.
Ji at the end in the Helsinki World Cup took 12th place. Earlier skater reported that this season could be his last .
Skater Misha Ge: I draw inspiration for programs in everything >>>
"It's hard on the issue of support for our country it from us almost over the years was not, -. Said Ji -. To be competitive with the current level of figure skating, you need to work with an entire team of specialists This can afford a few continue to work only on the parent.. shoulders and on their own - it's very hard. "
"People see us shines on the scene, but do not see what happens behind the scenes - continued skater -. My career - the merit of my parents, who through many difficulties trying to get me out, vytrenirovat, drove me around the world to different specialists that. a lot of work. Mom has to work doubly so his father could train me. "
Ji said that the final decision on the completion or continuation of a career, he will take some time. "We will proceed from the real situation, looking for the next season. So it may be, to the world was my last performance of the championship. And I want to thank the great Russian fans, friends, who for so many years have supported me. The Russian took me as a part of their family ", - concluded the athlete.

It's an expensive sport and unfair that his parents have to carry the burden. But then Usbekistan is probably not the richest country in the World. Flights, Hotels, Equipment....this all is costly. I hope he can at least earn some money in shows, but I doubt it will be huge sums. It's a shame, really.

Misha's potential retirement was one of the reasons I decided to go to Helsinki. Two clean, beautiful programs, the love of the audience, an invite to the gala, goofy pictures with his friends and a final bow. What more could you ask for really? Now he'll get to choreograph for the Olympic year.

I feel privileged to have witnessed Misha's performances at Helsinki. He was absolutely amazing to see in person, and the audience went crazy after already by the end of his long program. There was a standing ovation and lots of teary eyes!
He will be missed very, very much...

I wish him all the best and good luck, and I hope to see some very good choreographies by him in the next season :)

hmm... I still can't believe that is Misha's last skate. I would've loved to see him skate for his country for the Olys. :(

But good luck to him and his future endeavors. :)

Really good interview by Jackie Wong and was done in Helsinki. Misha's English is very good and he expresses himself well.

Thanks for the IceTalk interview, I'm listening to it currently. Misha is really an intelligent young man and I'm sure that he will be a very successful choreographer in the future :) His language skills are amazing (Relating to this:Yuzu and Shoma trying to count the amount of languages Misha speaks )

She is not Adelina...one of the poster wrote: Никто не угадал)) - Nobody guessed right))
Her legs are thinner as Adelina's. But we don't know who is she..

Ah! I never bother with the comments. But interesting he'd go for a Junior then presumably, considering he had many requests for choreo and had to turn down quite a few. Any interesting names with Plushy?

We'll learn in time for sure.
It's good for Misha to keep establishing connections either way and in time Plushy's academy will grow I am sure and he'll already have a foot there. He's a smart cookie.
