After a seige of almost 2 months, the tropics are finally shutting down. Lisa will become a hurricane but she is heading north and will not affect the US mainland.
It is hard to say how long this respite will last but we are on the downhill path as far as this tropical season is concern. Hurricanes that develop now are usually further south and head towards Central America. This doesn't mean that we won't see another hurricane or tropical storm hitting the US but the chances diminish every day. If things heat up again, I will let you all know.
I am taking a break from the boards for awhile. 7 weeks of very long hours have taken their toll and I plan to catch up on my sleep and do some figure skating again....I think my poor Salchow has taken a vacation.
So I am trading in my forecasts for my figure skates for the time being!!
