I teared at his resiliency, fighting spirit and the insanity it takes to become a champion . I was prepared to dread POTP but I think he improves a lot in interpretation and expression.

Anyway, what actually happened to Hanyu to make his situation such?

And by the way, weird thing is that I actually wouldn't mind Hanyu winning this. While falling 5 times is terrible, I appreciate fully rotating jumps and falling them far more than popping them halfway through because you're scared.

Huh? The fall penalty is stupid (in the sense of way too low), but he still landed a very big element clean (3A-3S) and rotated two quads and a 2nd 3A. Of course he's going to come of better than Julia who popped the majority of her jumps.

PCs ALWAYS take a hit when skaters fall. I really doubt the incident in the warm-up wasn't weighed when the judges scored him.

And I'll say it for the last time--I don't care how passionate someone is becuase doesn't justify those types of risks at ALL. Seriously judging anyone who admired what just happened.

Honestly, I don't even care about the score, overscoring or otherwise. NOBODY DESERVES A MEDAL. These boys need to go to the hospital. Now.

Let's just give medals to Nam, Richard and Mishe Ge.

Honestly, good for Kovtun winning this. How on earth did Hanyu even manage, I don't understand. Even 74 PCS would have had him in second.

Blaming the skater for skating? The fact that both Yan Han and Yuzuru Hanyu struggled through so they'd have a chance at the GPF shows just how much character they have. While I think they both should've gone to the hospital, i have nothing but pure respect and admiration for both going into this Free Skate.

I think they skated for the paying fans and for grits.

Well that was just ridiculous. What a black mark for skating. You cannot give numbers like that to a skater with 5 falls. The in between the falls was not that good. Sorry he's sick, injured whatever...but PLEASE! If ISU does not look into this then the whole thing is fixed.

That's not his fault though. Unless you have some evidence of Yuzuru directly bribing the judging panel?

I'm still in shock, otherwise I would have cried. I'm sure I will when I watch it again (if I can bear it...)

Yuzuru fought for it despite the falls, rest of his skating was beautiful. I'm as happy for him as I can be given the circumstances.
