Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I just wish people will stop saying that Yuzuru is not back to his self yet. Because that sounds really unfair to those skaters who have put just as hard work as Yuzuru did coming into this season.

But nevertheless, an absolute stunning effortless SS again from Yuzuru!

I don't think people are saying that he is not back to himself ( in mean of top skating form ). He never was too good in beginning of season. What people mean is that he is not in his top physical form after COC. Ok, it is his decision to skate, he knows in what physical condition is, and if his legs still not recovered it is difficult for sure

Lol, for the record Yuzuru's fans never said he should be in the first place if he were healthy. We only say he shouldn't skate in this condition. Who wants to see Yuzuru in wheelchair again? Is medal worth it? It's simply that people don't want him to damge his health even more. It's rational.
If anything I am relieved that he got low score here. No chance of GPF means more time for him to rest.

Actually, I think that low score in the SP = he'll try everything at the FS just to qualify for the GPF :bang:

Do you remember what you said after World 14 SP :laugh2:?
Well, he was not badly injured by that time as he is now. :drama: I am actually fine with his placement here. Who cares about the score when Yuzuru has just showed that he is still improving immensely in skating skills. I mean, all level 4 for all non-jump elements, that's a big achievement for him. Congrats!!! He Got 3 levels 4 and 1 level 3 at Sochi, remember?

And I agree with Treeloving, Yuzuru's performance today is the kind of performance we have been expecting from him when he got the bronze at WC 2012. He became one with the music. He didn't lose himself in the beat like his SP at CoC. He is becoming more and more comfortable with his new SP.

You know at this stage some nasty people still think like medals and scores are important and they try all the way to bash Yuzuru's for his condition. They think his fans would just get angry but sorry we are actually very happy here. If people have nothing nice to say, better not say anything at all. I also have quite a few "nothing nice" stuffs to say about their favorites but I don't want to waste my time.

Hm...I can't watch videos right now but it seems he did better than I thought he would. I can't wait to watch it because I really do love his SP...I actually want him to bring it back next season because I want to see how far he can take this program, artistically speaking. Maybe he should get Jeff to do his LP next season

Oh boy this SP is such a lovely program.I know I sound selfish but wish I can watch it clean at least once.

I agree. It may not have the spunk of PW but this is in its own league of beauty. I am glad that Yuzuru tries different types of programs. I hope we see a clean run of this and POTO soon. So stay safe and healthy Yuzu!!! :cheer2:

I fully agree. :agree:

His SP step sequence this year is crazy amazing. It went so well with the music. Actually, everything went so well with the music despite the jump errors.

I have this feeling that Yuzu is so disappointed with his SP that POTO tomorrow is going to be clean. I hope so. (See: Worlds 2012, 2014 lol)

Got to agree with you on this. I never would have thought that I one day, I would be wishing for one of my favourite skaters to not qualify for the GPF :ohwell:

Edit: but he still has a chance with a 5th place finish though. That's how crazy the men's GP has been this season...

I came from college to check the results and: I'm very very glad that the scoring was relatively fair but so so sad that his condition or mental state I don't know, seems worse then what I thought. Now I changed my mind and I'm almost wanting for him to not qualify! If he doesn't then maybe he will have time to recover or get into the right state of mind and perform great at nationals and then Worlds! Yuzuru, don't push yourself too hard at the LP. This is a different situation than Worlds 2012, 2013 and 2014. It's not such a big deal if you don't qualify.

Well, I am sad that it seems he hasn't recovered mentally and psychically. But even though I am one of the person who said he "should not skate" the loudest, I am actually glad about what he has just showed us today. Super skating skills and breathtaking step sequence. :)
