Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

No problem for Yuzu to have crazy travel plans as he must be able to get staff price to fly Air Canada (Star Alliance).
I just read "no problem for Yuzu to have crazy travel pants" all those costume changes are making me see things

Yuzuru Hanyu told Orser after hearing his score: "I want to do it [once] more...I can...OMG"
as brian told him, we know you can so stop putting so much pressure on yourself you silly boy!! thanks for the link btw :)

Now that the Japanese men are really bringing it and Yuzuru isn't at his best mentally and physically, I begin to worry a little that taking part in the GPF might drain him and if that affects his performances at Nationals, should we be worried that he might not get a spot on Japan's team to worlds? I know it's unlikely that the JSF will not send their reigning Olympic + National champion to worlds, but given that Machida is still looking quite strong, Mura is improving (and looks rather solid this year as compared to the past few seasons where he was very inconsistent) and Daisuke Murakami just came out of nowhere to grab the NHK title, it seems that there is now a lot more competition for a spot on the world team. And let's not count out kozuka as well (poor bby). Though I hope that Yuzuru can improve his mental and physical state to have a set of good performances at GPF and hopefully at nationals/worlds too.

i dont think JSF will write him off just cause he delivered bad performances in last 2 competitions, he has been consistent since he turned senior, even before that ( considering consistent doesnt mean 2 clean programs :D ), his scores kept improving, yes other japanese men did really good this year but they were more inconsistent than him in general, when you think about last years nationals, dai was 5th last year but still made the olympic team,

apart from that i think its the pressure and expectation that he put on himself is more important than that media's or fan's, we are aware that he doesnt need to win everytime to prove he is worthy of medals he won, but standart he put on himself is too high, i sometimes afraid he is too hard on himself  stop it and just enjoy skating, cause when you enjoy we enjoy more! :cheer2:

The amount of costume changes he's had in a span of a few days...I do believe his wardrobe's on track to rival that of Tessa Virtue and Johnny Weir! :laugh2: Does anyone know why he changed costumes for the gala?

When heard the news that he wore another new costume for the gala, my mind was blown. I guessed in one of my previous posts that he might've had like, 5 separate costumes prepared for whenever he wanted a wardrobe change. He must've changed designers or something, it's really shocking (more like a fashion show now, in a way). It's nice that he changes costumes so suddenly now since it's a treat for the fans.

Costumes aside, after watching his "Hana wa Saku" performance, I was mesmerized how light and graceful this performance felt. I really hope he can bring that lightness somehow back to his competitive skates for the rest of this season. Another good thing is that his smile at the end of the performance felt truly genuine and not forced, contrasting to the often kind-of forced 'press' smiles.

New interview translation, it turns out he only had 5 days on ice for NHK!!! Omg!

thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

smart and honest kid , smart and honest analysis as usual ... "‘It’s a miracle I can even skate this much’.....Next is the Finals that I barely managed to qualify for, and to say straight out, I will skate earlier than before. I’m probably the first to skate. I’ve never been the first to skate at the Finals so I’m really the challenger. I feel like I went back to my junior days"

What does it mean Yuzu's waiting for an e mail from Brian?

no doubt , flowers will bloom! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
