So anyone almost hoping Yulia and Anna get one and two just to really confuse the entire issues?

No way. Here's for Liza, Lena and Leonova going 1-2-3.
I might support Lip and Pogo's cause for JWC though![]()
I've followed all of the listed links and found this interesting one among them: a poll that asks about whether Sotnikova should be allowed to Euro without competitions or stick to the rule.
Only 33 percentage of the vote with about 5000 people agrees upon the legitimacy for her going to Euro without competitions. http://www.sports.ru/poll/others/figure-skating/1025899595.html
I think the poll should be mentioned as well for people here to get good understating of what's going on.![]()

I'm sorry but I think Eteri kinda deserves to be quoted correctly.Snow63 said:- Eteri said that these kind of statements (Sotnikova's and Lakernik's) are 'unacceptable' before Nationals.
If Pogo places ahead of Yulia at third place by a small enough margin and that Sotnikova isn't ready, would they skip Pogo for Yulia? I bet they totally would. So it's premature to say that Yulia wouldn't benefit from her OG achievements the same way Sot would.

The Sotnikova part is wrong. She does not say that(why would she?). On the contrary, she says that when a skater comments that he/she is preparing for an X competition/sets a goal to compete in a certain event it's pretty normal, expectable and the way to go.
She criticizes the RSF alone for making those statements and demoralizing the girls before the competition.
And I completely agree with her on that. I just hope that each one will end up entering the Nationals with extra motivation rather than stress/pressure.

Hope it will result in this, I do.Maybe RSF is very wise to use it to motivate Lipnitskaya, Pogorilaya, and other ladies. Who knows?![]()

I think that any of the medalist can be champion at Europeans or Wolrds. Russia has many many strong girls and even the skater, who will stay at home could have a chance. I don't think Sotnikova should go without any int. competition this season. Maybe if Lipnitskaia will be 3rd she could be replaced(but I don't wish it to her personally by someone else(not by Sotnikova she didn't competed yet and didn't train really much), but for example when Tuktamysheva will be 3rd they can't do that. After horrible last season she managed to get back, skated very strong this season(especially GPF)and I think she deserves her place at Euros at the moment.
About Tarasova's statement: of course she is defending Adelina. Adelina skates at CSKA, where she also works with Tarasova and as we know, TT always do some backstage politics in the case of her students.
About Tsareva's statement: Maybe it could be true, but...My personal problem is I think Adelina deserved silver at Sochi. Not the gold. Maybe someone else feels it different way and really thinks she should be first. Ok then, I'm just saying my opinion.

She was just talking about the order in which she has read the interviews, implying smth like "I was ok at first and then(after reading the second interview) I got pissed". The whole sentence was in context that made it clear she has nothing against Adelina, nor she was mad because of her interview.I re-read the article, and it seems you're right.
Maybe that's the phrase that confused me a little bit: '...Я прочитала интервью Сотниковой и затем Лакерника, и сказать, что я возмущена - это ничего не сказать...' She says she was mad after she has read Sotnikova's and then Lakernik's interview. The 'unacceptable' part on the other hand was only about Lakernik's statement. I will correct the OP.
Besides, I didn't quote her, I just summed up some things she has said from my point of viewBut thanks anyway.
The only competition before Euros is in Poland.
