Mao Asada

24 GB, her performens since 2002 to 2012 world

Dude.... I have been waiting my entire life for this. How many are 1080p?

My "Mao in 1080p" folder is 6.5 gb, this thing just dwarfs it.... Unreal... I thought I was a video hoarder... Hopefully everyone can seed it.

Great! Thank you, and happy new year to everyone :hb: :cheer:

Happy New Year chapis!

Thanks for the videos, it's amazing how Mao's musicality just keeps getting better everytime she perform. That solo part of her duet with Dai was superb. And the singer C. Hart's voice is like honey. So beautiful.

Agreed and now I imagine what if Mao comes back next season

Happy New Year :cheer: Wishing Mao and fans a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for the links and the warm wishes on the New Year! May all of us (including Mao) have the will to make our resolutions come true! And like you yhma fan here's hoping Mao comes back to give us more legendary performances next season. Did any of you think that her jumps and speed and even her Biellmann (two variations in the solo part after she skates with Dai) looked especially good in these programs? All that running has paid off.

This is one of my favorite videos of Mao's Sochi experience on Ice:
The Legendary Day of Mao Asada. I love the impressionistic quality, the music and it catches Coach Sato's touching reaction.

A big YES to the bolded part, hence my "superb" comment. She was very fast and sharp during her routine.

What about the "running" part? What kind of running was/is she doing?

Mao Special aired on New Years

Thank you for this! I love how happy and healthy she seems. The fact that she said yes to this offer over other countless TV offers(which I imagine she must get this season) speaks volume about her as a person. I truly admire her as an athlete and also as a person.

I just read that her sister Mai is a big runner and that she has run marathons and that Mao was thinking about running one in Honolulu too. Also, early last fall when Mao was asked if she had been training, she said that she was jogging but not doing any training on ice. I also read that when Mao was very young she was very fast and that she, in addition to considering ballet, also thought about being a sprinter (or running in shorter distances) before deciding to be a figure skater. I have read and heard this information in many different places, but I can't find or remember the sites. Also, in some of Mao's most recent videos for Japan in Action, her legs look really fit like a runner.

I agree and thanks again shiroKJ for the link. That's what I like about Mao in this video is the warmth and love of humanity (here children) and athleticism that she radiates and that shines through subtly at first but then suddenly bursts out powerfully in her performances.

Mao is quoted as saying in this video (with a link kindly posted by bebece): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQD0k4IgDA4

July 4, 2013 - My unchanging objective has been to be a skater who can give small children a dream.

i think only the letter part that 1080p or maybe only 720p, the one from 2002 or her novice n junior seems small
i am downloading that right now, but only got about 4 GB

And she has. Children in Japan have a great example in Mao. She is so beloved
