Well, Fayruza, perhaps we are being too harsh. Perhaps a very astute, professional application of the technique of Reverse Psychology?

As a fairly introverted person with a tendency to get depressed about slightest things, I'm not too sure it's going to be particularly helpful! :) I might well be mistaken, but I wouldn't go as far as to tell a person to stop smiling and start sulking instead!
It's a festive period for Yulia as well - and I think it's good she can spend a few days at the place where she was born. Close to her horses and her granny. Time to recharge and regenerate and find her feet again.

I was so drunk that I barely remember last couple of days. I just want to wish to Yulia all the best in the New Sheep's Year, in her both professional life AND personal life.
We had some friends over, and my wife told me we drank for Yulia and some of my other favourites more than once. So, now they're just have to win everything :biggrin:

I'm going to give Lorenzferus the benefit of the doubt here and suggest that maybe they just want to see Yulia posting pics/videos of herself fighting back. I can understand this and I hope instead of another break(which was the reason for her performances this year IMO) she gets her jumps in check quickly. If she skates summer shows I hope she drops the 3t onslaught and practices and performs the jumps she struggles with instead.

That said...it's the holiday season and I am glad to see her smiling and enjoying herself. I just hope she knows that this may be the toughest off season ever.

I'd very much like to agree, for it would vastly simplify her challenge. Please read her quote below. From her description, her break was actually an unsuccessful attempt at recuperation. As I read it, she was dragged down by "pressures" that stuck in her mind. She needed to shake them before returning. She approached her three weeks rest as an opportunity to heal. But it had the opposite effect. So she returned to the same milieu with the same baggage, and events continued downhill. I'm with you in that another break probably won't matter, but it seems more time practicing won't matter either. She has already tried both.


I had three weeks rest, but I managed only to back down from the top shape and let go the muscles, we did massage, different spa procedures. You see, I was constantly under pressure, and I needed to let it go completely. As a result, I relaxed physically, but but not psychologically. I got even more tired. On the one hand, the season is over. On the other, I have to start from scratch. And not only from scratch, I have to get to the same level and go up, because everyone expects me to become better. These thoughts were very taxing. I was ready to start again, but the problems with boots, the injuries wore me out, and I got even more tired.
