Scott512, Liza won the GPF title, runner-up of Russian Nationals and overall 7 titles of 9 competitions this season, so there is no way to exclude her from the World team.
Unless Pogo wins euro's. Then it's really a mess. Ade should go to worlds if healthy. No doubt about it. But I still doubt Ade will perform in real competition this year. That said I am sure she will be ready for all the exho's coming up.
They both need to face the facts and just hang up the skates. Even Kurt Browning on CBC stated that Julia is not lasting the test of time. Think about it: she'll be turning 17 in just a matter of months! It's time to step aside and let the 15 year old's do what they do best.
Who is they both? Yulia and who? Retire? Hell no. Yulia just needs a break and come back an an underdog next season and Adelina needs to get healthy and skating again. They both need to face the facts and just hang up the skates. Leonova. I don't know how Liza could live with herself the last two years. She should've stopped I guess, just to make some people happy.![]()
Was this sarcastic? You can't honestly say someone should hang up their skates at age 16 over an unprepared season.
Leonova has shown considerable resilience this season... silver in Nebelhorn over Gracie (where she scored a personal best), silver in NHK over Miyahara/Murakami. And she's had some strong SP scores (including a PB at NHK) - and a clean SP at Russian Nats, NHK, and Nebelhorn (and clean jumping at Skate Canada).

WHAT THE....And for Leonova -- seeing a 24-year-old trying to compete in this sport is heartbreaking. Watching the extremely labored jumps, all the sweat glistening on their forehead as they struggle to make it beyond the 2-minute mark of their programs, barely being able to breath as they practically crawl off the ice at the end of their skates, and putting an inordinate amount of effort into their 'mature' PCS elements to hide their low technical scores...
Clearly this was a sport designed for kids.
...?
might be best.

Liza is back and in good form. Good thing she didn't retire.Leonova. I don't know how Liza could live with herself the last two years. She should've stopped I guess, just to make some people happy.![]()
I know right!
She should've stopped and not stuck around to do this: http://instagram.com/p/xjFo45TQf8![]()

I agree, but for some apparently she has to give up because well, she is 24.![]()
As I mentioned in my original post, Julia is turning 17 in a few months, before the start of the next season. How much can she possibly have left to give?
