Looks like Carolina and her agent from ten years have separated. She gave notice in december, looks like she thinks that Carolina has changed.

As long as she can keep her medals, everything else is just a bonus. I mean she is going to retire anyway, the ban is meaningless.
Well, still, a cloud will hang over her career forever, and this will be a permanent part of her bio.
I disagree. Lying alone doesn't taint any of her hard-earned wins.
I don't think the group that has banned her had the power to strip her of medals. For the Olympic medals wouldn't that have to be decided by the IOC?The disqualification starts from today so she can keep her medal from Sochi. That's the key point.
If the disqualification would be (and this option was possible) from the day of her admission at the "Procura" (public prosecutor's office) in Bolzano the medal would be gone.
Source of the news is the newspaper "Repubblica".

So I guess I am confused. They came to her door looking for her boyfriend. They must have come there because he has to let them know where he is (at all times??). So wouldn't she have known that it was possible they could come to her house looking for him? Then how did she know to lie for him if she didn't know he was doping? Was he hiding around the corner whispering to her to tell them he wasn't there? These are all rhetorical questions, but ones I am wondering!
I think the bottom line is - for whatever reason be it love or some decision to "respect" his privacy - she decided to lie, and to me there's no reasonable excuse to lie especially when you are a veteran athlete at her level and you are lying to doping officials/testers.
A year ban from competition is fair to me - she should consider herself very lucky that this was all finalized after the Olympics where she was still able to compete.
The bottom line here is that the anti-doping fascists expect all athletes to be informers.
Disgusting.
The ban seems completely reasonable to me.
I hope that the skaters who are caught up in this ridiculous #IStandWithCarolina thing aren't so blinded as to not check on the rules for skating in shows with a banned skater. I'd hate to see anyone's eligibility messed with because of her.

I´m no sure, but when you appeal the court can accept or not the appeal, am I wrong? And also if the court agree with the ruling but they think the sentance was too soft couldn´t they rise her ban?.Okay...16 months. But she's going to submit an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Let's hope something fruitful happens with her appeal.
