"We want to touch different people. So if you don't like Riverdance, you'll like Prince. If you don't like Prince, next year I'll do jazz," Brown said.
He's made fans out of the daughter of Little Walter, the Chicago blues musician who created Juke, and Maxime Rodriguez, composer of Tristan and Iseult. Brown's short program to Juke at Skate America brought Little Walter's daughter to tears, and Rodriguez was so impressed with Brown's free skate to Tristan and Iseult that he has offered to compose music for him.
"I literally have no words to really, truly say how CRAZY that is," Brown said. "Something I really find so crazy-cool is that the pieces I have skated have drawn those composers and people who are not into skating are into it and have watched it.
