Jason Brown

Can someone let me know if the "up close and personal" on Jason shows up on YouTube (or maybe from the excellent Sabinfire)? I never thought to tape the ladies (that's right, "tape", no DVR, a tube television, and no cable internet. Being old and old -fashioned has its drawbacks sometimes.;) ).

By the way Mrs. P., congrats on the upcoming Baby P. Sure to be a statistical wizard! :)

I think Jason took this selfie just for Karne because we can never have too many pictures of Jason, Josh, Max and (bonus) Jeremy in one shot

Thx 2 the fans 4 all the love & support! We had so much fun 2night meeting u, signing autographs, & taking pictures!

There are not enough words to describe my feelings for this picture.

Also, I really love Jason's new glasses. They seem to allow him to open his eyes up more.

Agree on both picture and glasses :)

I've been trying to get caught up with the Men's LP thread, but I swear that thing is - to use the Urdu expression - the devil's intestines! It's just getting longer & longer, and I will never be able to keep up with it! (Not so strange since it seems all over the place - apart from Jason, so far, there have been swipes at Evan - Plushy - Kovtun... I wonder who's next?;))

Well, so I'll say it here instead.

I haven't seen Jason's LP yet - how was it compared to Rostelecom, do you all think? I mean emotional-wise, as I think that so far, that is his best performance of it (that I've seen).

Meanwhile, I adore that program. But I like a bit of Drama.:) I have nothing against the colour of his trousers, or the rest of his costume, except I preferred the first non-glittery version of the sash/half-tunic (or what it is).

I hope he keeps it for next year. As for the quad - someone said they gave him the benefit of the doubt. I don't - because I have no doubt. None. Next year, it will be there, I'm utterly convinced, people, I know it in my bones I think that program will be even better with the Thrill of the Quad. And I will celebrate - and what a glorious moment that will be!:)

Meanwhile, I hope Jason savours the moment ("The moments are all we have.") - which I know he is, thankfully :) - and keeps clear of all... nastiness.

Congratulations, Jason! :yay:

I know what you mean LRK. I wandered into the other thread, posted my congratulations and left quickly after reading all the negativity.

I think the Rostelecom LP had more raw emotion, but the nationals LP didn't have a distracting moment like a step out on the triple lutz combo. One of the things I like most about Jason's programs is his ability to inhabit a character and to tell a story. From the moment the music starts to the moment it ends, he takes me on a journey. The last skater I felt like this way about was Michelle Kwan.

I know I'm in a minority on this but I like his ex to Cotton Eye Joe (probably because he's having so much fun out there). Exiting stage right ... :slink:

Congratulations to Jason on a well earned gold medal. I was there and as usual he had the audience on his side the whole program. His choreography, spins, transitions, and jump entrances and exits are so difficult but he just makes it seem so easy. The program flowed so beautifully and most of his jumps were perfect. He won this medal on the merit of both his programs.
Congratulations to Adam and Joshua as well. They were both captivating as well and rewarded for their efforts.

I know I'm one of the naysayers, but I wouldn't interrupt other's enjoyment. Glad you like it. But that's how I feel sticking up for Juke :laugh2:

Congratulations to Jason, for winning his first US title! :hb:

I'm late here, because I went neck-deep into the Men's LP thread, and probably contributed to a few of those "swipes" myself. :slink:

I agree completely. I'd always said that Jason is a storyteller, and he has a Kwan-like ability to draw you in.

Could someone explain Cotton-Eye-Joe-gate to me? I've only been watching exhibitions sporadically... actually didn't catch this one.

A heartfelt "Hooray!" for Jason. He had nerves of steel in this competition and boy did he need them! The slightest mistake, pop, fall and he would have lost the gold. He hung on and it was marvelous. Good job.

Congratulations Jason! I think he has dealt with the burden of expectations and the pressure of competition very well in this Nationals. I am so looking forward to seeing him (and Joshua) compete for the first time in Worlds. :)
