Elizaveta Tuktamysheva

Here is the second part of report on St Petersburg' competition, it is about the final day of the event.

Again it is quite long so I translated only Liza related:

'During a warm-up the Empress Elizaveta first did some easier jumps, then the 3A and then another one in combination with the 2T. The audience went wild. Worth mentioning that preparation time was just a half of that in her SP – would be great to replicate same confident execution in the program .
Then was the actual performance. Elizaveta was the last to skate and was brilliant. Not a single mistake or flaw you could pick up on. All the jumps were magnificent from start to finish, super confident with accentuated beautiful flow outs. All on +2 as a minimum – this is not some home inflation a la American Nationals this is the reality. The score of 146 was absolutely fair, could be 150. This is cosmos.
Unlike the day of the SP, after the LP Lisa simply shone from inside, she was virtually physically radiating a positive energy. I congratulated her on her brilliant performance and wished to win the Worlds. You know it will be odd if someone else wins. Her confidence and ease are simply astonishing. I think I discovered another reason why Lisa & Mishin are working on the 3A: it is not only work for the future domination - Liza would be simply bored without the 3A. The Ice Empress.'

^Once again, thank you for the translation, melissa_ire.

Glad to see Liza so confident, knocking out 3As in the warm-up. Whatever her strategy is going into Worlds, I hope it leads her to victory.

"The Ice Empress", that is great to hear. Thanks again for your great work, melissa! Hope Liza could take her first World title in Shanghai successfully!

I saw 3A-2T on instagram and it was astonishing !!. Not underrotated AT ALL !!! Really really wait to see it at worlds. I think that she is dominating now in womens , as yuzu in men . Her confidence is great !! Wish we had Video of her lp programm you are discussing . 😁😁

Lol, Liza trolling us with her hair? Well, I'm glad it's just a tint... because I'm superstitious and think she should keep everything that's been working for her thus far.

The same photo on her instagram does not have this reddishness https://instagram.com/liza_tuktik/p/0H9120TQXI/

And there I was thinking that Instagram was the website where people applied weird filters to photos!

That is freaky, the way the same photo looks so different!

Very good point! :agree: This is not the time of the season to be tempting fate!

Yes! By the way, thanks for the birthday present the other day. ;)

No problem. I was going to do something on the forum, but wasn't sure if you wanted people to know it was your birthday.

Apart from when I went on to post that greeting, I have kinda been avoiding Facebook the past week or so. Any time I've been at the computer, I've been working at that calendar proposal I promised. But, the way it has turned out is that a lot of the time is being spent updating incomplete season pages on Wikipedia! :rolleye:

Yes, I try to shroud myself in secrecy as much as possible. ;)

What is this calendar proposal?

I haven't been on Facebook much either lately, not that I was ever particularly active.
