2015 Worlds Free Dance March 27

Well frankly it was a very mediocre year for FDs. Shoot me now, but I'm saying it. P/C had the best FD of the year but no, that was not a 112 point performance of it.

And you shoot me again because I still say that C/B had the second best program of the year. Stellar work from Igor. Adult, sophisticated, intricate.

Just be sure to bury me someplace nice, m'okay? With a view. :)

Agree with this in it's entirety. They can bury me next to you.

Why is it so bad to like and enjoy Chock/Bates' program? I find it exhilarating and exciting. They also stick out to me as a casual viewer - not the typical boring performance. I loved it, but compared to past performances, they were not "on" tonight.

It seems nobody here has an issue with the judging as long as it supports their favorites.

Erm, out of this batch of skaters, P/C *ARE* my favorites (and C/B my least favorite American team ever), but their score is pure, 100% BS.

Weak Ankles, I'm with you on both counts. I don't get the hate for C/B and particularly for this free, which I find sophisticated, ebullient, and a wonderful combination of subtle and joyful. yes, Madison's edges are relatively shallow, and she struggles on Twizzles, but it's also a fact that Cizeron is a far stronger skater than Papadakis.

I love Weaver/Poje too.

The ones whose skating I can't abide is C/L.

I had noticed that, too.

And wasn't it just a few pages back that we just absolutely could not have a Ice Dance gold medalists who screwed up the twizzles?

Where is that crowd?

My utter devastation for Kaitlyn & Andrew, has been somewhat lessened by my relief that Chock & Bates did not win!! I am very happy for Papadakis/ Cizeron and their coaches Dubreuil & Lauzon!!

Still was hoping for 2 golds for Canada... but I can't always get what I want.

I don't understand all this hostility toward the Americans.Maybe P/C were a little better than C/B tonight, but the competition is for two programs. And overall, I think Chock and Bates deserved it. Still crying judging fix for the Americans anyone? After this, and also the Shibs? ;)

Just curious......are judges ever held accountable? I'd love to see that. :)

I/Z were destined to ve 7th...
Just pff topic
I/K were 4th at their first Euros and 7th at their first Worlds
S/Z were 4th at their first Euros and 7th at their first Worlds
...
Same story with I/Z

Congrats to all the winners, and P/C for Gold! A little perplexing that half the comments in this thread seemed to want P/C to win the competition just so others would lose...

Wow really thought that C/L would medal
Congrats to P/C, but the score was way too big for such a mistake in the twizzles

Twizzle scores:
Shibs 8.06
Cap/Lan 8.06
Stepanova/Bukin 8.06
Weav/Poje 7.97
Pap/Ciz 7.71
A buncha other teams with 7.71
Ch/Bates (level 3) 6.29

Hmmm...

How old are W/P? It seems they've been around a long time.

Subtext: After two straight years of not winning when they could have... will they be back?

Love Chock & Bates, they are my favorites. I didn't think they were quite on with their FD tonight, but I love that program. The French pair are beautiful to watch, I have no problem with them winning.
