2026 Four Continents Championships Rhythm Dance

ZK were expected to be the class of the field and they won the RD ; I like this team but I am more impressed with Green and Parsons -maybe they are regaining the momentum? I would love to see an upset by GP. Not urpised the Americans are 1,2 and 3 a bit surprised Canada is in 4th didn't expect them to be seen so favourable. A little surprised ZK are here so close to the olympics but I am guessing it has something to do with getting a better draw for the RD come olympics???

This event was 🔥 ! So many teams sharper than ever -- Browns, Gr/Pa, Z/K, Fabbri/Ayer, and on through the list. I mean, I know there were some bobbles but despite that most teams seemed really ON. What a treat for ID fans! Crowd energy seemed low through the stream, but all the teams kept their performances up. The sound feed had a weird echo but I could still feel the teams' energy. What was up with Oona though? Is she always so neutral in the K&C and pressers? She had a great skate but you'd think it was not good from her reactions, but maybe she is always very contained?? I hadn't noticed one way or the other before -- and it certainly doesn't really matter. Anyway, congrats to all!

Fabbri Ayer will put up a fight for the bronze for sure... anything can happen
I hope so but I am not overly confident. I think it is wonderful they are in fourth but get past any American will be next to impossible. The Aussies and Koreans may be looking to pass them as well.

Yeah I preferred G/P too. No taking away from Z/K - they are clearly prepared and sure on the ice but I find them a bit too try hard in the RD, particularly Emilea. G/P’s presentation of the RD felt more authentic to me.

Congratulation to the top four teams! I like them all.

... Paul AYER (CAN)

I noticed that Chris has started pronouncing Paul's surname with one syllable (sounds like "air") rather than the two (rhymes with "higher") that we are used to hearing.

Which is right? ...

When the multitalented Paul introduces himself at the link below, his pronunciation of Ayer sounds to my ear like "ay-er" -- two syllables, maybe with slight stress on first syllable. Does not rhyme with "higher."

It's the Brown's first ISU Senior Championship. Have they ever had a press conference before?

I think they have -- because Junior Worlds has press conferences.

I have been fortunate to speak to Oona and Gage on multiple occasions, and I find that each is a pleasure.
For me, the spark of Oona's personality comes across in person, whether or not it jumps thru the screen as strongly.

Thank you!

You know, after watching that, I have a feeling Chris might have actually heard Paul saying his own name, and that this is what Chris was attempting to replicate. But he didn't quite get it right.

Nevertheless, it is still closer than what we always heard Chris saying in the past.

Thank you again.  :points:

:thank:

A random question about that recurring sound in Oona & Gage's "Jump Again" - does anyone know what it is? It sounds like a horse, but I'm guessing it's probably something else.
