The EuroSports commentators were very impressed with Jason's whole presentation. I was happy to hear that.

Nice pic! Jason is very elegant! But the glasses and the hairgrease: ORRIBILIA! I want Jason vith curlies and contact linses (or miope or with old glasses)Jason Brown @jasonbskates

I think for the big jumps on ice needs perferct vision! Contact linses! Thanks for linkI just hope he sucks it up and get contacts so he can learn to skate with them sooner rather than when he finds he needs to. I think his vision is getting worse with the years (in the normal sense that vision often gets worse) given that we are seeing him in his glasses more often. The thing is, I used to do what he did, would take my glasses off for some stuff like reading and I was just fine. Then in the span of less than a month, it became really awkward and frustrating to try to read sans glasses and I started always wearing my glasses or contacts. I think I reached a point where cheating with no glasses was just not practical anymore. I worry he is going to suddenly reach that point as well where his vision does start affecting his skating and need to adjust to contacts at a very inopportune time. He would not need to always wear them, but learning to skate in them once a week could really make things easier on him later down the line. If nothing else, he does need to learn to not squint when he takes them off.
As for his hair, well keep in mind it can get pretty crazy untamed.

Mmm - not sure there is much reason to worry. I think the swift change of vision you experienced is quite unusual. I have pretty bad vision but very dry eyes, so I've never been comfortable wearing contacts, and never wore them to perform even in large theaters or on big stages. It never affected me badly. In fact, not being able to see the audience clearly helped me block out distractions and focus on the performance.

Such an incredible week of competition! Now it's time for the closing exhibition with these awesome guys! #WCShanghai

... Jason for WTT I think is almost certain - hopefully, then, we get a Jason/Max team.
Jason/Max for WTT would be a great team :yay:.
But .... Adam has said that he wants to go, and perhaps USFS will want to reward him for contributing to the three spots. I think our collegial sportsman Max would understand/respect that logic, as would I.
Speaking of which, Adam and Jason celebrated the three spots in this photo:
But...but...it would be so, cruelly, unnecessarily, heartbreakingly unfair. When was the last time the pewter medallist was left with NOTHING? Why are they punishing him?![]()

Didn't Kori once say that one way Jason was able to play to the audience in such an all-encompassing way was that he couldn't see the audience? Makes sense...
And don't worry, when you get to a certain age, you will need to wear reading glasses over your contacts. Then you will wonder what is the point, and get rid of the contacts. Fair warning!![]()
But, yeah, I think it's been over 30 years since I wore contacts - if we except the brief little interlude when I thought I'd try them again, when I was 15, moving up to a new school, but there was something wrong with one of them - it felt like a nail in my eye. And then I never bothered again. (It was mostly out of vanity anyway - and it may be that I'm just lazier than I'm vain.

But it will have been - 3 months? - since Nationals. Would it be fair to Max to expect him to remain at peak condition for so long? I'd expect that he's been refocusing on next season instead.
... I would like to see them support Max, but it might be good to remember that we don't know what has been said, for all we know, Max wants the year over.

Now they asked me to send them more of Jasons performances, because they liked him so much :yay: the only problem is I have no idea which performances to send them, there are so many amazing performances from him!

Thx for naming them, Katmari, I could not place Florent Amodio.
And welcome back to Sebastian, although I quite liked Russian split Jason.

) will be back if/when he competes in the World Team Trophy competition. Is that Jasons cap?
I think so. https://instagram.com/p/0pyALyTXL4/

Those two are unbelievably cute together, and they also stood next to one another in most gala men group pics I saw. They are both so hyper and jumpy, I'm sure they'd tire me out just by looking at them![]()
Once Jason gets his quad (I believe he will), I think they'll be standing on the podium next to each other more than a few times. Nearest thing was 2013 TEB, but Patrick was between them.![]()

) At the end of the gala, Nicky says words to the effect of "Everyone talks about a quad, says that Jason needs a quad, and somehow he just ends up in fourth in his first worlds, doing what he does." My new fav announcer, Nicky!
