Yulia Lipnitskaya

I thought I read that Voronov will work with a choreographer overseas next season. Is it possible that Yulia also has a foreign choreographer for next season? Actually I am really looking forward to that!

Ya, but there's no info about Yulia's plans in that direction or maybe there's in her fan group. Unfortunately, I'm not able to read her answers to fan's questions any longer. I'm having troubles meeting these new requirement(to have a personal VK page with your own pics., phone number for contact, etc.), I'm a teacher in a University and I try to avoid social media as much as possible because of my students, although you can see that I'm a real person from the publications I have. In that regard I think Yulia and her page management are making a mistake by dividing her fans in that way, sooner or later there'll be another leak from this closed group. It's better to sue the journalists not too "punish" your fans.

can someone please point out exactly what yulia needs to work on, aside from flutzing and jump height, and why it is so daunting? i need to know how optimistic i should be :P

If she can fix the edge problem that will be huge because it ain't easy at all. SS improvement will be great also, and I would be very happy about it. That is not to say that she has a problem with the SS and others are good. She and Elena has a lot of speed and ice coverage, something that Tuk doesn't have for example.
Height is not such a big deal once you hit the jumps. I wouldn't worry about that. I'm not sure what Ilya means by raising the level of elements. New jumps? 3A and quad? How many women are going to do that?:sarcasm: I don't think Yulia needs to learn new jumps right now. Just do the one she has and raise the level of her SS. With that and two good programs she will be gorgeous.

Actually, plenty of top women announced working on 3A.
The only skater, who openly denied (laughed off even) the idea of adding 3A to her repertoire was Julia.

You guys can call me crazy all you want. I think she should train 2a-4t. I think she could do it. But she should wait until 2018 to show it off. No need to rush to peak too soon.

First thing is to fix her lutz and have a better season.

I don't think that's crazy at all. I fully agree with everything!

Has any woman ever tried quad in combination?
That would be something!

The poor girl, skated on the show without force. It`s good, that this year there will be no any shows...
Agreed, there were too many shows last season. Russia is huge country, all those flights, travels, meetings, press conferences didn't help our girl in preps for the season at all.

What do you do after your competitor has been named a Dame of the Most Honorable and Distinguished Order of the Triple Axel? You join the quad squad!

Seriously, Julia doesn't need a fancy new gimmick right now. What I wish for her is a season of reconstruction and rehabilitation, preferredly with medals in the GPs, Euros and hopefully Worlds too. It doesn't need to be gold, she just needs to prove to herself that she is back in the game. Then she can think about 2018.

If only her spins would be rewarded fairly, considering what the rest of the field is actually doing...maybe she wouldn't need to learn bone-breaking, scary new jumps to stay competitive...

I honestly do not believe she has a quadruple jump in her...but I do believe in her work ethic and passion which can help perfect her current jumps. I do hope she proves me wrong though...it sure would be epic.

I don´t think a quad would even fit her style, kinda... dunno, too big, too many rotations, would totally mess the flow...
She probably should rather work on getting points other ways, kinda Jason Brown style - as it is easier for ladies (there is only Tuks with 3A right now, and not sure if all ladies who want to get 3A/quad will get it any soon, so in the very worst case its a silver and sometimes gold).

:cheer2: :hb:

Good to see she still gets some love even with her rough season!!!

:yay:
