If his plans include becoming a chereographer, then I would think knowing English would be important. Also, when he's doing shows in Europe or North America, where English is more widely spoken, learning the language would help him with not just interacting with the other skaters but help him build a network for future gigs.
Has he said what he is studying? I've only heard that he wants to study dance.
He wants to study English hence he decided to come to the States. And yes, he has expressed that he wants to be able to communicate with fellow skaters so that's also one of his motivations to learn English.
Language school? Dai, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would love to teach you English for free...I even have a TEFL certificate!
I think you should tag him on Instagram and show him your certificate.
