Yulia Lipnitskaya

Julia said in an interview that she will begin staging new programs this week. She decided to change both programs, because she thinks that she grew out of her SP (awww, maaaan). She will not have summer vacation and will continue her school studies. During this she will be doing general physical training to stay in shape. She's planning to fix all her jumps and edges, and she already worked on better sliding with personal trainer.

All these news are making me so exited for the next season! I hope she will do some early Senior B (is Nebelhorn the earliest?), otherwise I'm not sure how will I survive till GP season

Looks like she is doing everything she can do to improve. Someone pointed out a few months back that working on her jumps may be exactly what she needed. Not even from a scoring standpoint but more so from the aspect of settling her mentality. Now she has something to set her mind to. A goal so to speak that she can obsess over. I remember super serious Julia who was scarily committed to doing everything insanely well and sharing death glares to all who got in the way. Last year was sort of run thru the motions and a large amount of under training and we saw the results. She was at her best when she had the goal to make it to Sochi. I think the reality of the next phase is setting in and she looks ready to tackle it. No matter the results I'll always support her but I'm so hoping that she can come back better than ever. :)

Definitely over 10...not sure exactly how many times though. Arrrrgggh! Yulia....please learn to upload full length videos...the tease is too great :drama:

Here's another effort...Yulia doing Mulan :slink:

Wow, that looked really good. I'm sad we won't actually get to see her skate to it for real. Hopefully someday?

- After all, you were 19 years old.

- After all, 19 years! Not everyone is born wise like Lipnitskaya.

- Lipnitskaya just says what she thinks at this moment. For example: "Once again I otvalyalas(?), why - I do not know."

- She is very serious indeed! And very often, she says what other people think, but she is the only one who says it loud. I remember that at the Olympic Games in Sochi, we were taken to the Olympic Park to be photographed, we were all tired, especially Julia. It lasted a very long time, and then when we got on the bus, Julia says loudly: "Such a waste of time for three minutes (of photoshoot)!". I thought: "Spot on!" I'd like to ask her, or the other skaters, for advice, how to deal with negativity from the Internet. How to cope with the fact that all the details of your personal life spread on social networks. Skaters, I think, know well how to handle those things.

I can imagine a bus full of tired, but silent and polite athletes (flattered by the attention they're getting), feds, media people and then Julia dropping a bomb!

That's typical of Yulia and that's the part of her fans answers I miss so much now with this closed group, you can see what she thinks and feels and not the journalistic imagination about her . There's no political correctness with Yulia, lol and I suppose that's why she has so many fans around the world!

By the way, her group is open community right now.
