Elena Ilinykh & Ruslan Zhiganshin

I really like this modern/contemporary and flamenco fused dance Antonio created for the fashion designer Juan Duyos' runway show. It was great how he created flamenco dance moves to Bjork songs. http://youtu.be/ukstnhAjrVk

Ruslan said they are working with ballroom specialist. Maybe they will do the SD. If Antonio is not doing a modern dance for them, I hope they go with the Tango at this point. Although it's not going to be easy but maybe it's worth the risk.

Yes!!

Alba my dear would you post a video of this year's pattern doesn't matter who skates or as long as it well done.

Please and thank you!

I absolutely adore you!!

Would Edith Piaf work for this Waltz? It would be nice if they did something a little bit cheeky. It is gonna be painful to watch so many waltz performances.

I actually think a waltz could compliment them very well. They have the speed and Ruslan has great line (not that Elena doesn't but Ruslan's quite impressive) this would be a great opportunity to showcase his strengths and give him a chance to shine a bit. I am dying to see what they come up with for a program!!' Why is it barely May...

It could, Sous le ciel de Paris maybe, but the Ravensburger should be skated with the character of a Viennese Waltz, elegant and light. It's perfect for them. It will emphasise more their great edges, deep knee bends, speed, softness. :)

As for the waltz I personally don't mind to watch them because I loved compulsory dances, and Paso is worse. But keep in mind that the video I posted are from Compulsory dances period. You are not going to hear the same waltz music now.

I miss compulsory dances. I think it's horrible I had to ask for waltz examples:(

Some of those outfits from 2006 are hilarious. Kind of like elegant dance meets stripper costume and stripper costume wins! Fusar-Poli looked so much better in 1999 than in 2006.

Don't be silly. It's not that I remembered them all either, I checked.
I remember some performances, above all Klimova&Ponomarenko waltzes, but that's easy. ;)

So true. I agree about Barbara as well. I don't know what was she thinking in 2006 tbh. :hopelessness:

I was watching Barbara like what the hell were you thinking....in no way does this costume represent a waltz

Thanks, that's really cool! He did something similar for Lambiel's Carne Cruda program, as well as the traditional flamenco & tango programs they did together.
