Carne Cruda was so great.Modern not typical Spanish, the approach was just perfect

Alba, the waltz is just perfect

Yay!! Hoping the do a senior B or 2 before the Grand Prix for more points!

I totally understood why they didn't do a senior B event last year (lack of time, having to work on the programs, needing time to look like a couple and get the feel of each other, even their test skate in the end of August was closed), but this year things have changed, for the better , and I think that a senior B event would only benefit them: give them a chance to show their programs and change what needs to be changed early in the season, not between competitions :slink:, add to their competitive experience together and get the so much needed points that will improve their standings and get them closer to the big guns.

What are the rumors on this? Does anyone on the Russian forums have any inside information? I'm curious if they are even considering it.

It's probably too early for that, they usually get assignments after the test skates. But I believe some of the lower ranked teams got Senior Bs, so I am sure ruslena would get one if they wanted one. S/Z always did Senior Bs, though, so it's probably in the plan if things progress how they should.

Those are the key words. I guess the first sign will be the test skate, in the end of August (?). If they choose to do a closed one, again, then things probably haven't progressed as they should. I hope that won't be the case because their circumstances are totally different from last year. At least that's the way I see them. :) They are light years away from the "dumped", who, according to so many "well-wishers", didn't stand a chance. They've proven their case, now they can go compete with the big boys (and girls).

For the record, there is always a closed test skate for everyone.

I understand why they didn't do it last year as well. I know the Shibs do and I really want them to add points and up their ranking. And to also build their experience.

I wouldn't believe Russian forums, there're too many false insiders.
Maybe Elena and Ruslan will tell a little about their plans at the upcoming fan meeting. Too bad none of this thread's haunters is going.

Do you think they will tell to those fans who are going anything about the new programs? I can't wait to know about the programs.

Everyone has to do the closed test skate, but there's an open one a week or two later and they skipped that one last year. I fully expect them to be there.
