Yulia Lipnitskaya

I think being in US for training (or really anything) is good for her, in Russia (from what's been said on here) the press/journalists are around her a lot. In the US, for the most part I'm sure she can go about her training/walking around a city without that and be a normal 16 year old; it probably lets her breathe while still focusing on her skating.
As someone who has many photos of myself enjoying the calmness of Lake Michigan. I promise you a trip to this region is very therapeutic and rejuvenating. I hope she has enough sense to but a sweatshirt that says MICHIGAN on it.

I agree with you about the media and constant attention from the public calming down too. Loving all the photos!!

I wonder if she felt the earthquake in the region. It's not entirely a common occurrence there.

I guess there's jump specialist or choreogapher in Chicago that Eteri wants her to visit.
The city is beautiful, it's better than most vacation IMO.

I'm dying of second hand fear of heights looking at these pictures. I don't even think she could talk me into going up there :hopelessness:

Is it that hot in Chicago right now? I see people in shorts.

Well people in this area, even me, start wearing shorts when it hits 50 degrees.

Those photos had to be from yesterday because some of them showed the sun setting and I'm a few hours east of there and the sun is still up but yes...its warm here. I'm wearing shorts. It was 78 yesterday and 80 degrees today in the area.

As coincidence would have it...Ms. Sunny Lipnitskaya brought the first beautiful and very sunny weekend with her.

YES. It is ridiculously hot today, I'm already dreading the thought of summer hitting full bloom. I think we just had a bit of snow flurries just a couple weeks ago too?

I live in Chicago and it was actually pretty comfortable. I spent the day at Wrigley Field Capri pant short sleeve shirt and was quite comfortable and I can kind of a baby about cold. It was around 77 degrees today.

Eh, you've never been up to the Skydeck? Remember last year when the glass cracked underneath some tourists who were standing on it? :slink:

Check it out, I was born and raised in Chicago and have lived here for much of my life, but I have never been to either sky deck. There are two, one on the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower), which is where the cracking happened. The other is the Hancock Center which is where it looks like Julia was. Too bad she was not there during the winter because they have an ice rink up there on the 94th floor. She could have showed them something.

This is a fun game: Where's Yulia?

That pic was tagged in Canton. Did she leave Chicago already?

Here is changing every day. One day is sunny (never hot though, which is good) next is raining. It's killing me.

Probably closer to Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in English, depending on your situation? I have not heard that word used in english to describe a reaction to changes in weather.
