Wow, good find! It's interesting that Lena posted almost no photos from her time in Minneapolis, but she posted a ton in NYC. I wonder if that's because she knew the Riedell people were posting photos, or because she felt that Minneapolis=work, and NYC=vacation...

Well, I didn't see Lena in NYC, but I did see Michelle Kwan in Boston, so I guess it wasn't a total loss! :biggrin:

Finally added Elena's SP to the post above. Had to slightly pitch-shift the JLo, since there's now geo-blocking in 250 countries on detection of this song -- strange, considering I've been uploading Elena's SP's all season and never got tripped on this music before.

My guess is she is either back in Russia or on her way back to Russia. I read an interview a few weeks ago where she said that she would be vacationing the end of May and then heading to a training camp the first week of June.

Elena is with a Riedell Skate Company employee. They were hosting Elena and her dad in Minnesota. Judging by their website and Instagram I think They may sponsor Elena.

Yes, I think you're right. I guess I was hoping for another JFK airport photo (like she posted when she was leaving Seoul)... ;)

Actually, I think the woman doesn't work at Riedell, but she must know Clint Riegelman, whom she mentions in the comment below.

You really are good at coming up with the info! I hope she gets some more sponsors too. I even took a leap of faith a brought a ticket to Worlds in hopes of seeing her and Tuk. She has become one of my favorites and she deserves to be able to grow and to reach her full potential.

Morozov tends to be very hit or miss... But he does usually come up something, er, interesting. And Lena's one of the best at selling the heck out of whatever material she's given.

Where is the boardwalk in NYC? Under the Brooklyn Bridge? I usually just go to the jazz clubs and hang out in the Village when I am there.

Re: Morozov
I like him and think that although maybe this is better for him she'll be just fine. We all know she could make anything interesting :yes: honestly I'd like her to tone down her choreography a bit and work on the basics a bit so this could be a good match for that.

What fun it must be for a choreographer to find the perfect spot to place that perfect Biellmann.

For some reason, I think it would be even more perfect if she had her hair half-back (like in her exhibition where the top is in a ponytail and the rest is loose) and it was curled, and the glorious curls cascaded around her as she biellman-ed...

Sharp eyes, Sandpiper! I think you're right! When she was in Korea, it was practically to her waist, and now it looks a lot shorter. But maybe that's because she's holding it up...?

Haha, Sam-Skwantch, I think you misread what Lena said. :laugh: She said she wanted to go to Broadway, as in musicals/theaters, not the Boardwalk, as in by the beach!

But, there is a Boardwalk at Coney Island! Maybe if Lena comes back to NYC, she can check it out. ;)

RE: Morozov--now I'm very confused! So the long program is set, and it was choreographed by Morozov, but they haven't figured out the SP yet? So what was Averbukh doing when he worked with Lena? :confused: Making an EX?

Or is this info old, even though the article is new? I guess Tatjana Flade was there awhile ago (before Lena went to Minneapolis)...We'll just have to wait and see, I guess...
